There isn’t much to this box with just the books and a bookmark in them. The tissue paper is themed for the box which is a nice touch along with the letters on the box inside that match the bookmark.

The September Blind Date books, The Seduction of Phaeton Black by Jillian Stone ($4.25) and All That Glows by Ryan Graudin ($5.11).

The information for the books is on the back of the bookmark that comes in the box. It has the boxes print on one side and then a little teaser for the book on the other side.

The Seduction of Phaeton Black by Jillian Stone ($4.25) – Victorian London and supernatural investigator are both things right up my alley.  I’m a huge tv watcher of all procedurals that focus on the supernatural and all things that go bump in the night.  This book sounds like something I would watch on the tv so I can’t wait to sink my teeth into it one night this fall.

In the gaslit streets of Victorian London, phantoms rule the night, demons dance till dawn, and one supernatural detective dares to be seduced by the greatest power of all. . .

He’s The Man With The Magic Touch

A master of deduction, seduction and other midnight maneuvers, Phaeton Black is Scotland Yard’s secret weapon against things that go bump in the night. His prodigious gifts as a paranormal investigator are as legendary as his skills as a lover, his weakness for wicked women as notorious as his affection for absinthe. But when he’s asked to hunt down a fanged femme fatale who drains her victims of blood, he walks right into the arms of the most dangerous woman he’s ever known. . .

She’s The Devilish Miss Jones

Pressing a knife to his throat–and demanding he make love to her–Miss America Jones uses Phaeton as a willing shield against the gang of pirates chasing her. As deadly as she is, with a derringer tucked in her garter, Miss Jones is not the vampiric killer he’s been staking out–but she may be just what Phaeton needs to crack the case. As the daughter of a Cajun witch, she possesses uncanny powers. As a fearless fighter, she can handle anything from Egyptian mummies to Jack the Ripper. But when an ancient evil is unleashed on the world, she could be his only salvation. . .or ultimate sacrifice.

All that Glows by Ryan Graudin ($5.11) – It looks like we have a theme this month with this book also taking place in London. I love Faeries and stories about them. While most movies depict them as fun little sprite type characters most books have them as very badass and all around awesome. Emrys sounds like she fits that bill and I can’t wait to read what she can do.

For fans of Maggie Stiefvater and Lesley Livingston comes a clever twist on the mortal/immortal love story by hot debut author Ryan Graudin. Intense and electric, this is the ultimate tale of forbidden love.

Emrys, a spirited and charismatic Faery Guard of the British monarchy, is sent to London to guard Richard, the bad-boy prince of England, from assassins and paparazzi. Despite her status as a guard of the royals, Emrys struggles with her feelings as she tries to not fall in love with the charming prince. But when an ancient Fae murders the king, Richard’s father, and starts attacking the other royals, Emrys must risk everything to hunt through London’s magical dark side in order to protect her charge—and the boy she loves.

BookCase.Club sent a British themed box this month. I do think that most months there is a light theme to the boxes which I would love to see written about in a short note included with the information but since it isn’t always a theme I get why they don’t.  I’ve never been to England but I love reading books that take place there and how things are the same but also how different they can be. These books will add the touch of paranormal that I think makes all books that much better and I’m ready to curl up and dive in.
