July’s Beauteque BB Bag theme is Summer Sweets. This month’s products all center around sweets.

The card has information on each of the products and basic how-to-use directions. Pricing for products varied across sites. The prices listed below are those of Beauteque, unless otherwise noted.

My July Beauteque BB bag. Tying back into the theme, I can see candy and honey…

Farm Stay | All-In-One Honey Ampoule ($25.99):  This contains honey, royal jelly, and propolis extract – definitely giving you all things bee in this bottle. These ingredients work as antioxidants, antimicrobials, and moisturizers. The formula also contains niacinamide and sodium hyaluronate for additional hydrating/skin plumping benefits, as well as rosemary extract and aloe to calm irritated skin. Use this as you would a moisturizer or serum. There is a strong honey scent, so beware if you are not a fan. I like using honey-based products on my skin when I have breakouts. For me, they reduce the inflammation and help heal the skin quickly.

The small spoon was included to help scoop out product from the jar. Note that this looks like light honey, but don’t confuse the two.

The Saem Saemmul | Candy Lip Tint – Soft Persimmon ($10.99):  I love the design of this bottle. Subscribers received one of several shades from this line of watery lip tints. I received Soft Persimmon, an orange-y shade. The formula contains hyaluronic acid and honey to hydrate lips when worn. These tints can be used for a light hint of color or built up for a bolder look.

Here’s a close up look at the wand applicator. You can see how thin, but pigmented, the formula is.

My naked lips (left) and with the lip tint (right). I was not a fan of the orange color or the taste of the tint.

Wonjin Effect | 3-Step Honey Bomb Mask ($6.00):  This is listed for $3.99 in the Beauteque.com shop. Since this is a multi-step mask, I think the $6 price is probably the right price. Based on some of the ingredients (coconut and olive oils), I’d say that this mask is more for those with dry skin. After cleansing, apply Step 1 – Honey Milk. This cream will help exfoliate and prep the skin for step 2. Step 2 – Effect Ampoule works to address signs of aging. Apply this serum over step 1. Finally, apply the sheet mask for step 3 and let sit for 20 minutes (this is the intensive hydration treatment).

A’Pieu | Silicone Mask Cover ($5.99):  When I first saw this, I was a bit confused, but then I realized that it was a mask cover. It has two great benefits – 1) it allows you to move/look down without having the mask fall off your face and 2) it reduces serum evaporation, allowing your skin to get the maximum amount of essence absorption. Just place this over your sheet mask and hook over your ears.  Gently wash with soap and water, then air dry when you’re done.

Wangskin | Cherry Foaming Soap ($6.99):  This is a yummy cherry-scented face and body soap. It looks a SweetTart when you take it out of the package. The bar is chocked full of moisturizing ingredients such as jojoba oil, aloe, and hyaluronic acid. Use it with the loofah mitt to to exfoliate while you cleanse. This is listed at $10.00 in the Beauteque.com shop.

Exfoliating Spa Mitt ($6.00):  This exfoliating mitt can be used as a mitt or a soap pouch when bathing. It really depends on your preference. The mitt provides a gentle exfoliation, removing dead skin cells and giving you a healthy glow. It is safe to use on the face as well as the body.

I realized that I completely forgot to include a picture of this month’s bag with my review. As you may have noticed in the earlier pictures, it’s a smaller green bag. While writing this, I kept thinking that I’d gotten that bag before. Well, I was right… and it wasn’t that long ago. The July bag is the same as the one I received in my March box. You can check out that review and see the bag by clicking here.

July’s BB bag contained either $62 or $63 worth of product, depending on whether you used the information card or site pricing. I thought the sweet theme was fun and am really excited about the cherry soap and exfoliating mitt. Sorry, I have a thing about soaps (and bath products, in general). I did take a sneak peek at the August bag and am really excited for what’s to come. Click here to see the spoilers!

On a side note: Before trying any Asian cosmetic subscription, expect that most information on the package will be in the native language. That said, more and more brands are including directions/ingredients in English, and information can also be found in English on the majority of brands’ websites (you may have to choose a brand’s global or US site). Secondly, a large number of products focus on brightening or whitening the skin. As a person of color, I have not seen my skin color change. Instead, I’ve experienced that my skin tone gets evened out after prolonged use. However, your results may be different. And lastly, many products contain ingredients which are animal-derived, so these may not be an option if you are vegan. You can also check out cosDNA.com to see if the ingredients for the product are listed there.
