Spangler Science Club now has available guaranteed CE and ISO Certified safe solar viewing glasses perfect for the eclipse. Glasses are sold in 15 packs for $17.99 with free shipping, or with a 32 page informational booklet for an additional $5. I went looking on Amazon for solar viewing glasses this morning then got worried that they were all counterfeit due to multiple news reports about them. Spangler Science purchases directly from the manufacturer and you may receive American Paper Optics, Rainbow Symphony, Celestron and Daystar glasses (these are the brands that have ISO certifications and test their glasses). Spangler Science will not bend the glasses (thereby ruining them) to ship them to you.
You can get the glasses from Steve Spangler Science here. 15 pairs is quite a few – I suggest sharing with a friend!

Eclipse viewing glasses and handheld solar viewers should meet all the following criteria:
· Have certification information with a designated ISO 12312-2 international standard
· Have the manufacturer’s name and address printed somewhere on the product
· Not be used if they are older than three years, or have scratched or wrinkled lenses
· Not use homemade filters
· Ordinary sunglasses — even very dark ones — should not be used as a replacement for eclipse viewing glasses or handheld solar viewers
Never look directly at the sun without proper eye protection!
