Play! by Sephora is a monthly subscription box that brings only the best and exclusive Sephora beauty and makeup samples. The subscription costs $10 per month, and you’ll get 5 deluxe beauty products, playlists, a fragrance bonus item, plus coupons you can use when you visit in-store.

Your subscription also entitles you to PLAY! Date meetups if your store participates. I don’t even have a Sephora (not even a JCP one) but this box totally excites me even without those experiences – I love the high end brands every month for just $10.

That little card is a PLAY!P ass that will get you 50 extra Beauty Insider points with a purchase from the box – in-store only.

The theme is “The Innovators – Elements of Beauty.” I love the big fold out periodic table!

This fold out poster shows a list of all the items included in this box plus beauty trivia and tips. You can access all of the information and also watch the videos right on the Sephora site or use the app to scan the sheet for more info!

Everything in my box 130!  See the spoilers for other variations here. The pouches are cute. Back to fabric this month – what are you using yours for?

Alterna Haircare Caviar Anti-Aging Miracle Multiplying Volume Mist ($7.50) After more than a few boxes with hair items that are decidedly not for fine, thin hair, I’m thrilled to get this product! This totally non-crunchy mist definitely adds a bit of volume and texture. I like it!

Burberry My Burberry Black ($23¢)  I admit – I haven’t been a huge fan of about half of the scents in Sephora, but since it’s a bonus item, and usually a sprayer, I am still nearly always happy with it!

This is Burberry’s latest scent, with notes of “Sun-drenched Jasmine, Peach Nectar, Candied Rose, Amber, and Patchouli.” To me it was a bit heavy on the amber and the sweet notes didn’t balance, at least at first. As it wore it melded a little more into a classy balance. Not my personal style, but a good scent!

Korres Golden Krocus Ageless Saffron Elixir Serum ($13.10) I couldn’t have been more thrilled when I pulled this from the box – and I knew that despite its tiny size, it was going to be pricey (and it is – $98 for the full size!).

This “ageless saffron elixr” is hydrating and filled with one day old saffron at max anti-oxidant levels (which only blooms once a year!). Everything about this serum – down to the shimmery golden look in the bottle – just says luxury! I’m trying to put this to its best use – so I’m concentrating its use on my sunburnt forehead!

Hourglass Vanish Seamless Finish Foundation Stick ($7.23) in the shade “Shell”

This foundation stick boasts concealer-like coverage with easy blending and powder-like weightlessness.

I tried this out, and I have to say that I absolutely love it. It blends perfectly, I cannot feel it on, it covers well, and unbelievably – I received a great color for my skin tone! Plus, it’s perfect for on the go application. I’m thrilled with this product, which isn’t a surprise – Hourglass is such a great brand!

Top you can see it blended into my hand – bottom is one swipe.

Clinique Dual-Ended High Impact Mascara & Primer Duo ($19.99 fullsize – $6?)  One side is a lash building primer…

And the other is Clinique’s high impact mascara.

Another great on the go item. This lash primer really adds significant length to my lashes, plus a little volume.

And Clinique’s nice dark mascara fills it all in and really pumps up the volume. I forgot how much I like it. This is a great discovery/oh I’d forgotten about it item, and I’d totally buy it!

beautyblender micro.mini ($9) Yay for Beauty Blenders!

This little mini version is great for blending small areas, including concealer, around your nose, or in any creases or funny areas.

Sephora in a box is totally my jam! I was really happy this month, maybe more than usual – which is really saying something because this is one of my favorite subscriptions! I really loved getting the Hourglass and Korres especially this month – and the total value was about $35.

Are you a Sephora Play subscriber? What did you think of the box this month??

I got the same one and I am so happy with it. I love discovering new products from Sephora and since I love perfumes, I use their sample every month. Thank you for the wonderful review.
