Coconut Rice with Mangoes. This recipe features the Kaffir Lime and sounds delicious.

Also featuring the Kaffir Lime is the Thai Steak Salad. Just the photo of the salad makes me want to try the recipe. The non-recipe side gives some tips and suggestions on Thai cooking.

The Kaffir Lime is the star of the box this month, it’s also popping up in the Thai Coconut Curry along side the Thai Curry.

Next recipe is Basil Stir-Fry or Pad Ka-Prao. It features three of the spices we received this month.

In terms of hotness, Thai Chili is 4/5. Commonly used in soups, salads, and stir-fried dishes.

Thai Curry is a super flavorful blend. Ideal whether for vegetables, seafood, or meat.

Holy Basil is so aromatic, while its taste is peppery and a bit minty.

The zesty yet earthy Kaffir Lime is one of Southeast Asia’s secret weapons in making delicious desserts, sauces, biscuits and marinades.

Basil Stir-Fry (Pad Ka-Prao) features all but one of the small batch spices. The Holy Basil, Thai Chili and Kaffir Lime are all show cased in the meal I’m looking forward to making the most…

I re-imagined this just a bit, I wanted a little more of a hearty meal and lettuce is hard on my delicate stomach so I added potatoes and scrambled my eggs (sunny side up, is too much for me). Let me tell you the entire house smelled delicious and spicy. If you are not a spicy fan cut way back on the Thai Chili, it packs a very big kick. This was a hit and I am inspired to use every spice I got this month.

Piquant Post brings amazing recipes and small batch spice packets to my door, it’s amazing. The recipes are all about 4 steps to make and they are super easy to follow. The spices smell amazing and getting to know a new cuisine is so much fun. I can’t wait to hit the grocery store so I can make more of  these meals and hopefully expand my food tastes.
