Love with Food is a fun snack discovery subscription available in three versions: Tasting Box, Deluxe (family size), and Gluten-Free. They also offer an Office Plan for sharing with your co-workers. I shared these snacks with my family of 3 (sometimes 4 when my daughter is home from college.) What sets this subscription apart?

  • No artificial flavoring, coloring, or MSG
  • No trans fats and hydrogenated oils
  • No high fructose corn syrup
  • Snacks are natural, organic or gluten-free

FYI, you can see our reviews of all 3 varieties of Love With Food boxes here.

DEAL: You can try out Love With Food by using this link to get your first Deluxe Box for $5 off or get your first Classic Size Box for $7.99. You can also save 25% on your first Gluten-Free box by using this link. As always, Love With Food donates meals to charity with each box purchased.

Love with Food’s theme for August was Believe You Can. There were a couple of discount codes on the card and it tells how you can win a special box when you share pictures on social media. If you want to know more about the snacks in your box then you can go to the website and see which snacks are gluten-free, kosher, vegan, etc. You can find this month’s info here.

There were several handouts this month with info on some of the products and even a couple of coupons.

Everything in my box!

Veggie Go’s offer one serving of fruit and veggies in each snack! Strawberry Chia Seeds + Beets Bites are little cubes and can easily replace those sugary dye filled “fruit snacks”. I was afraid my daughter would decline when she saw the word “beet” on the package but she said they were fine. I thought they were better than fine and they tasted pretty close to a real strawberry and I actually enjoy chia seeds. Berry Apple + Spinach Strips taste delicious, just like a regular fruit strip but without all those nasty products that are in the technicolor ones at the store. It tasted like berries and I didn’t detect any bitterness. Plus, my picky kid loved it!

I took this duo to work to help power through my afternoon! Barney Butter Smooth Snack Pack is a portion controlled pack for on the go snacking. I spread it on Westminster Bakers Whole Wheat Hearty Crackers and it was a tasty combo. Note: I received two packs of the crackers but when I opened my box I noticed crumbs everywhere and it turns out one of the packs was open on the bottom, so I threw it away.

Belgian Boys Mini Dutch Stroopwafels I had never heard of a stroopwafel until I received one in a subscription box; now I look for them in the grocery store! The bigger ones are large enough to place on top of a hot drink and the heat melts the caramel filling and it is gooey and chewy. The little ones aren’t big enough for that but they make a tasty mouthful.

Glee Gum in Wintergreen and Bubblegum Each of these boxes contained two squares of Xylitol-sweetened gum. The flavor didn’t last too long but for those who prefer not to consume items with Aspartame then this is a good substitute.

I know it’s summer but it’s been too hot to grill so I plan on using True Made Foods Vegetable BBQ Sauce another time. They managed to replace some of the sugar with vegetable puree which also lowers the calorie count.

Revolution Foods Dinner Hero Fiesta Taco Cooking Kit I am saving this for a night when my picky eater is away since she dislikes tacos but I know my husband and I will enjoy this. It is lower in sodium than traditional box helpers and has no weird ingredients. Just put the rice and quinoa blend on to cook, then saute some ground beef, add the seasoning packet, and plate. A nice green salad and avocado slices would make the perfect accompaniment.

I shared this one during a work meeting to get some feedback from my friends. Fiber Gourmet Thinnables English Toffee Flavor have 100 calories in each pack and get you 15 grams of fiber in your diet. The comments ranged from “bad aftertaste”, “weird texture”, and “they’re ok”. This flavor was slightly better than the cinnamon swirl I received in a previous box but the consistency and overly sweet flavor are still a no-go for me.

Everly Pomegranate Berry All Natural Drink Mix My husband is trying to cut down on sodas and has started drinking powdered mixes so I plan on passing these sugar free rehydrators on to him. They are sweetened with stevia and are colored with fruit and vegetable juices rather than red dye #40. Plus, they have some vitamins sprinkled in the mix, specifically vitamins C, E, and A.

Pure Growth Organic White Cheddar Popcorn My daughter loves popcorn and we shared one of the bags and liked the tangy flavor and pocorn-ness of it. I brought the other one along to work for a snack and had to throw it away – it smelled and tasted bad. Maybe there was a hole in the bag?

Dang Original Coconut Chips I saved the best for last! I love these coconut chips, they are sweet and salty, crispy and light, and I am always happy to receive them in a box.

I’m always excited to see my cheery red Love with Food box in the mail, and I always have a hard time picking a favorite item! I love grabbing something tasty to eat on the go, either for a snack or as a special addition to my lunch. I appreciate the fact that Love with Food sends items that can be enjoyed by everyone, including young children. If you review your items for points and have an annual subscription it brings down the cost of the box, plus the coupon codes add to the value. Of course, you can always buy the items individually or in bulk but I prefer the convenience of having a variety of snacks to choose from. I simply grab a treat and stick it in my lunchbox and don’t have to think about it. My family enjoyed finding new favorites, plus Love With Food donates meals to charity with each box purchased!
