The Honest Company has agreed to settle litigation regarding the natural products it claims to use, creating a 7.35 million dollar settlement fund. Honest Company denies all the allegations, but nevertheless, if you’ve bought Honest Company products, you may be eligible for a check or store credit refund of $2.50 per item – up to 10 items without a receipt and more if you have receipts.

The lawsuit alleged false labeling, but no injury: now Honest will not be able to refer to its products as “all natural” or “100% natural,” and if it uses the term “natural,” it will be required to make certain disclosures.  Honest also will no longer be allowed to say “no harsh chemicals, ever!” if the products contain certain specified ingredients.

FYI – if you’ve purchased Honest Company direct, check your email for this address: [email protected]. Mine was in SPAM. Your email will have a claim and confirmation code, and your information, including the eligible amount, will be PREFILLED.

Bottom line – If you DON’T have receipts and purchased the eligible products you can claim up to 10 of those products. If you DO have receipts, enter them, and even better if you used Honest Company online check your email/spam for your class action noticed.

I delete my spam often and didn’t notice an email last week but have been an Honest Company customer since 2012.
