Boxwalla is a bimonthly subscription that offers four themes – natural beauty, artisanal food, international film, or books! In Boxwalla, you’ll be able to discover great artisans and artists from across the globe. This is the review of the Boxwalla Beauty Box that contains non-toxic and cruelty-free products sourced from artisans in the US.

I love the box itself, which is gorgeous, and save all of mine. The box itself is a luxe cotton rag paper covered box handcrafted by artisans in Rajasthan, India, and no child labor is ever used. The outside of the reusable box indicates which variety of Boxwalla you received. I love how the box itself supports socially and environmentally conscious goals.

The information card is a letter from “The Drunken Boxwallas” detailing each of the products. The theme for this box is Summer Comes Softly!

This box focuses will be showcasing Odacit and HENNE Organics.

Everything in the August 2017 Boxwalla Beauty Box!

HENNE Organics Nordic Berries Lip Exfoliator ($24)  This is a semi-repeat from just over a year ago. Then it was rose diamonds. Now, it’s nordic berries.

This lip exfoliator is berry tinted and a certified organic product that contains antioxidant rich raspberry & blueberry powders along with the sugar that will exfoiate your lips and the coconut oil, jojoba oil, and shea butter that will leave them beautifully soft. It smells and tastes as good as it sounds, and works great. I love the slight pink tint this leaves after use, too!

Odacité’S Pa+G Serum Concentrate ($39)

This serum uses cold-press virgin papaya oil from Ecuador to soften hyperpigmentation and fade spots.

I do have dark spots and I’m going to be testing this out – I think it’s unusual because it contains papain, which the card says is a resurfacing enzyme. I am not sure if I have used a dark spot serum with it in it. I’m hoping for more even-toned skin at the end of this bottle.

Odacité’s Oleosomes Time Release Delivery Crème ($68)

This cream can be applied directly to your face and neck after mist and serums, or you can add the serum to the cream to customize everything perfectly.

This yellowish cream has a sort of biting smell although it’s all natural. It uses safflower oleosomes – spheres of oil and vitamin E – that melt over the day and release hydration over time. The cream uses aloe, green tea, sea fennel, meadowfoam seed oil, calendula, and wild carrot seed oil. These retexturize and soften skin.

I always think the themes are pretty inventive – this month “Summer Comes Softly” featured 3 products that soften in 3 ways. As always, I was wowed by the value – $131 in products! – and think these luxe skin care items are a must try. They’re super targeted at not just moisture, but improving your skin too. This is a great box!
