The April Beauteque BB Bag theme is Soothing Showers. This month’s products are intended to give you a pick-me-up from the rainy day blues.

The information card provides a list of box products and basic how-to-use directions. Pricing for products varied across sites. The prices listed below are those of Beauteque, unless otherwise noted.

The April Beauteque BB bag. This bag is guaranteed to have something for everyone – I already see a few somethings that I can’t wait to try!

Too Cool for School | Dinoplatz: Magic Wand Eye & Lip Makeup Remover ($8.00): These handy wands are filled with makeup remover and perfect for travel. To use, simply twist and pull the swab – hold so that the wider end is on top. Allow remover to go into the smaller end and wipe away makeup. Use the wider end to clean residue and toss. This worked really well on my waterproof eye makeup and matte lipsticks.

Mizon | Hadra-Full Aqua Gel Cream ($20.00 Amazon.com): Beauteque lists this at $13.99; however, I wasn’t able to find it on their website. I’ve had good results with Mizon products, and was happy to see this in the box. It is a lightweight moisturizing gel. It contains glacier water, niacinamide, Atello collagen, and hyaluronic acid to hydrate and plump skin. The formula also has witch hazel to treat and sooth irritated skin. The fragrance is a little strong, but the gel itself is mild and very refreshing on skin.

A’Pieu | Base Maker – #102 ($8.99): A’Pieu has several formulas in its Base Maker line. I received #102, which iyra the brightening formula. This is a white-based primer that helps brighten skin tone and absorb oil for a matte finish. It also protects against the harmful effects of UVA and UVB rays. I was a little nervous using this, but it didn’t give a white cast. Use a light hand to apply as a little goes a long way.

Somang | M Cerade Professional Hair Essence ($15.00): The information card values this at $17.99, but Beauteque’s website has the listed price. I am always on the lookout for a product that can help improve my hair’s texture and resilience. This product claims to penetrate into hair to restore the cortex and cuticle while replenishing moisture. It worked well as a leave-in conditioner for my curly hair. My hair was soft and shiny. It does contain mineral oil, which is a no-n0 for some. However, the formula also contains chamomile, oat protein, keratin, green tea, and witch hazel.

Etude House | Honey Jelly Lip Patch ($3.99): A slight price difference on this as well. The information card has $4.99, while Beauteque’s website has the listed price. This lip patch has a triple does of bee goodness with honey, propolis, and royal jelly. Use this to restore moisture and elasticity to the skin on and around the lip area.

This little guy was cute. Seriously, the oversized patch makes you look just as silly. LOL.

Skinfood | Nail Vita Essence ($7.99): This was a wildcard item. There was no brand identified on the information card, only that it was a nail treatment. The Beauteque description of this product made no sense to me. This is not a nail color or base coat but a nail treatment. No matter how many coats you use, it will always have the same look. SMH. This treatment is enriched with vitamins an keratin to hydrate nails and prevent splitting and breaking. Luckily, I inherited my mom’s strong nails, so this is not a product that I will use. However, a friend recently stopped getting acrylic nails and could use this.

This month’s bag was giving me deja vu – it is very similar to the bag I received last August. It is very roomy, measuring 8″ x 5″. I think the light blue plays well on the April theme of showers.

My April Beauteque BB Bag contained around $60 in product. I think the Dinoplatz wands were my favorite item this month. What was yours? BTW, last month’s foot peel worked wonders on my dad’s feet. So much so, even his doctor commented on the improvement! I’d show pictures, but I (like a lot of people) hate looking at feet. LOL

On a side note: Before trying any Asian cosmetic subscription, expect that most information on the package will be in the native language. That said, more and more brands are including directions/ingredients in English, and information can also be found in English on the majority of brands’ websites (you may have to choose a brand’s global or US site). Secondly, a large number of products focus on brightening or whitening the skin. As a person of color, I have not seen my skin color change. Instead, I’ve experienced that my skin tone gets evened out after prolonged use. However, your results may be different. And lastly, many products contain ingredients which are animal-derived, so these may not be an option if you are vegan. You can also check out cosDNA.com to see if the ingredients for the product are listed there.
