GLOSSYBOX is one of the original beauty subscriptions. You get at least 5 luxury samples per month for $21.

They have great packaging every month with the outer box (above) around the inner box (below).

Every month, the goodies come nestled in squiggles and then wrapped in tissue and a ribbon bow.

DEAL:

Use coupon code COOLVIBES to get a FREE Josie Maran Argan Illuminizing Powder AND save 50% off your August box!

The theme this month is Stay Cool!  It appears they sent reviewers a printout – maybe so we wouldn’t post a September spoiler!

Everything in my August box! There were a few variants this month.

Doctor Babor Hydro RX 3D Gel Eye Pads ($7.25) Ahhh, I love a cooling eye gel!

These use hyaluronic acid to plump up and rehydrate your under eye area, with a fantastic cooling effect. I love to store mine in the fridge for a special chilly treat!

Freeman Beauty Infusion Charcoal & Probiotics Cleansing Clay Mask ($7.99) This was on the sheet as a “Glossyfave bonus product”

This cleansing clay mask is designed to draw toxins out and infuse skin with probiotics to clarify your complexion. It’s paraben- and sulfate-free too. I wouldn’t even be upset at this as a regular product in the box – I think Freeman Beauty is a great brand, even if it’s usually found in a drugstore.

bliss Fabulous Foaming Face Wash ($9) This oil free gel cleanser uses rose hip, milk thistle, and chamomile to wash away dirt and exfoliate.

It has a nice scent but I’m not sure how it exfoliates – the ingredients list does not include the polyethylene microbeaads that it used to include. This face wash does, however, contain parabens.

FYI – some subscribers received Bliss Lemon Sage Body Butter instead.

Pixi by Petra Brow Tamer Clear Brow Gel ($10)

This brow tamer uses aloe vera and panthenol to pass some nutrients to the brow area while keeping every hair in place without a crunchy look!

Lancôme Monsieur Big Mascara ($6)

This brand new mascara just launched! I couldn’t wait to try it!

It promises ULTRA black pigment and BIG volume!

When I pulled the wand from the tube it was satisfyingly wet – not crispy, so I knew it would coat all my lashes. Although I didn’t get a look like the picture, I was satisfied the the layerability, volume, and length from this mascara. I’d buy it!

Doucce Freematic Blush in Pink Beach ($14) This blush is meant to go in the palette from last month.

Didn’t get last month? Pop it in any magnetic palette! FYI – subscribers had the opportunity to choose their shade!

It’s a silky blush with a matte finish – and I love the color! This one’s perfect for me.

All together I added up about $54 – over double the cost of the box! I didn’t think anything was really wow (except maybe the mascara) but it was a good solid usable box! I also loved getting an entire blush palette over these two months.

What did you think of this month’s GLOSSYBOX? TIP: Your first box will be the current month until it says otherwise on their home page!
