Flathau’s Fine Foods Key Lime Snaps ($3.26)
These key lime cookies are short cookies covered in powdered sugar with a “snap” of key lime in the middle.
While coated in sugar, they weren’t particularly limey.
In fact, my husband and I both thought they were way overbaked – so much so that I left feedback on Amazon (do it from your orders page – the product feedback button) on this item. I wouldn’t ever buy these. You can also call their number for a refund – 888-283-1915 – and these were honestly so bad I just might this time to see how it goes. Usually if I just don’t like an item that’s part of the risk that comes with getting a subscription. These are just so terrible I just can’t imagine someone would cook them that much on purpose.
Chocolate Twist Epic Sea Salt Caramels ($12) These caramels on the other hand – raves all around!
Chewy, sweet, the perfect amount of caramelization, and a crisp burst of sea salt in each bite.
They’re worth every penny, and although it may cause my marriage to break down, I’m going to get my fair share!
Cape Whoopies Britt’s Fav Whoopie Pie ($4.92) This box just keeps on getting better and better!
I’m not sure I’ve ever had this brand before – it’s from Maine.
This particular whoopie is two soft and slightly crumbly chocolate cookies/cakes surrounding a very fluffy chocolate interior.
The chocolate holds up exceptionally well – it has cream cheese in it! As a result the mouthfeel is also exceptional. This didn’t last long at all!
The Crispery Cocoa Concoction Crisypycake ($8.63)
And finally – a Crispy Cake!
If you’ve never had one, they’re the most decadent rice krispies treat you’ll ever have, with more mallow than rice.
This one was made with cocoa crisps and a chocolate marshmallow interior with chocolate chips.
The value of this summer variant of the Surprise Sweets box was almost $29. Fortunately the much-hated lime cookies made up less than $4 of that value, so I still felt I got my money’s worth. We also more than thoroughly enjoyed the other snacks, and I love that Amazon has been really inventive at getting chocolate flavors into my face during the summer months! I’m seriously considering pressing my button again already!

The key lime cookies arent overbaked., They state on the cookie that they are purposely made with that textural element to have some extra crunch. I quite liked them.
