Sports Crate: MLB Edition is the newest member of the Loot Crate family and the first sport from Sports Crate. This monthly box includes 5-7 team-specific gear, collectibles, and more in every box, for $39.99 per month.

DEAL: Save $10 off your subscription with code ALLIN10!

We select the Boston Red Sox box. The subscription currently offers a choice of 10 MLB teams, but I suspect the number will grow next year.

All of the MLB items in the crate are officially licensed, complete with logo and holograms on the packaging. We also received a certificate in our first box to welcome us and assure us of the authenticity of the contents.

Everything in my June 2017 Sports Crate: MLB Edition box!

The theme is Behind The Dish!

There’s an invite to download Home Run Derby for free.

And if this is your first MLB crate, you’ll receive a code for a month free access to MLB TV.

You could also win a VIP experience, meeting your favorite players on the field!

Red Sox Barbecue Mitt: Everything is officially licensed and has the holograms and stickers to prove it.

This cooking mitt is a great useful item that is made automatically funny and awesome by being turned into a catcher’s mitt!

We are ready to play! (Please don’t actually pitch the hamburgers on the grill!)

The Home Plate Bottle Opener & Coaster

The back describes the operation of this coaster less you become confused.

I cannot imagine anyone being unable to ascertain the function – which is clearly to crack open a beer and then put said beer down on the coaster. The dirt splatter design is fun.

Sandy Leon Action Figure

Every subscriber received a catcher for their team – Sandy Leon for the Sox (see all the other teams here).

The figure is highly articulable with basically an infinite number of poses available.

We found this month’s figure a little “stickier” and easier to pose than last month’s.

Frosted Novelty Glasses: You can use these glasses, which are totally not shot glasses, to hold your party picks, condiments, or to drink a tiny glass of milk with your brownie.

They are frosted, which I really like the looks of. Each glass has a Sports Crate logo on one side and the other side has your team’s logo!

Pregame anyone?

Topps Trading Card: The second in this summer’s series from Topps and Sports Crate!

An impressive stat for Leon!

Red Sox Flag

OH BOY! My husband cannot wait to hang this up outside. A dyed in the wool New Englander, he is always trying to find ways to tick off the neighbors (we are in Pirates territory).

It has a pole pocket on top and it’s about 27″ wide (39″ tall) so it’ can’t be used with an ordinary garden flag hanger. I found a similar NFL flag and the suggested items to purchase with it were this flag pole and bracket.

The box itself is pretty cool (this is a Loot Crate relative, after all). The bottom has a cool factoid on MLB attendance.

I thought this was a fun, usable box that was had a lot of items that we’d put right to use in our home. The shipping needs turned around ASAP so we get all the boxes by the end of the season. The one thing that I’ve heard people weren’t crazy about is that there’s no wearable item in the box. Everyone loves a wearable, so we hope Sports Crate keeps that in mind for future boxes.
