First Peek
Send Me Swooning June 2017

Here are the items in the June Send Me Swooning Box. I detect a travel theme. There was no information card included and no additional information available on their social media.

Dating You Hating You

Dating You Hating You by Christina Lauren  ($12.78 on Amazon, publish date June 6, 2017) almost sounds like a self-help book, but it is not!

Everyone knows that all’s fair in love and war. But these two will learn that sabotage is a dish best served naked.

The first standalone romance by New York Times and #1 international bestselling author Christina Lauren (Beautiful Bastard) is a sexy, compulsively readable romantic comedy that dives headlong into the thrill and doubt of modern love.

Despite the odds against them from an embarrassing meet-awkward at a mutual friend’s Halloween party, Carter and Evie immediately hit it off. Even the realization that they’re both high-powered agents at competing firms in Hollywood isn’t enough to squash the fire.

But when their two agencies merge—causing the pair to vie for the same position—all bets are off. What could have been a beautiful, blossoming romance turns into an all-out war of sabotage. Carter and Evie are both thirty something professionals—so why can’t they act like it?

Can Carter stop trying to please everyone and see how their mutual boss is really playing the game? Can Evie put aside her competitive nature long enough to figure out what she really wants in life? Can their actor clients just be something close to human? Whether these two Hollywood love/hatebirds get the storybook Hollywood ending, or just a dramedy of epic proportions, you get to enjoy Christina Lauren’s heartfelt, hilarious story of romance in the modern world.

I can’t wait to read this book on vacation while sitting poolside in a few weeks.

The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband : A Bridgertons Prequel by Julia Quinn

I thought of Deb, a fellow Hello Subscription Reviewer and lover of historical romance, when I saw The Girl with the Make-Believe Husband: A Bridgerton Prequel by Julia Quinn ($5.98 on Amazon, publish date May 30, 2017).

With her brother Thomas injured on the battlefront in the Colonies, orphaned Cecilia Harcourt has two unbearable choices: move in with a maiden aunt or marry a scheming cousin. Instead, she chooses option three and travels across the Atlantic, determined to nurse her brother back to health. But after a week of searching, she finds not her brother but his best friend, the handsome officer Edward Rokesby. He’s unconscious and in desperate need of her care, and Cecilia vows that she will save this soldier’s life, even if staying by his side means telling one little lie…

It’s another book to read while on vacation.

Slip Clip

I can’t believe this is the first time I have seen this item. I’ll be using the Slip Clip ($4.49) to keep my son’s towel in place when he sits on the lounge chair.

I do wish that two clips were included because I think it would be more comfortable to clip the towel to the side of the chair instead of the top.

Luggage Tag

I need to find a way to attach the Hand’s Off! Luggage Tag (appx $1.90) to items that I do not want my teenager to use.

There’s also a plastic card holder on the flip side.

Pin

The sparkly pin (appx $5.00) is swoon-worthy. Maybe I will use it to add a little bling to my beach tote.

I will be using everything on our mini vacation except for the luggage tag that I am going to repurpose. I liked that two books and a useful item were included. I can’t wait to relax and read my books!
