From Japan Crate comes Kira Kira Crate, a box dedicated to Japanese beauty! Kira Kira means “to sparkle” and with this box full of makeup, skincare, and other tools from Japan, you will sparkle as well! I’ve always loved Japanese cosmetics, but they are extremely pricey. Even the drugstore lines, adorable as they are, are costly to import. There have been a few boxes that have tried to do a J-beauty box, but it really is cost prohibitive, so I’m very excited to see what Kira Kira Crate has in store!

DEALS: Save $3 on your first box! Use coupon code HELLO.

The booklet included with the box has a brief welcome letter, a list of the products included, and additional pages give English instructions for each product.

Cucumber Body Gel — I’m going to ignore the obvious joke here that has already been made 500 times when this spoiler came out! It’s a cucumber body gel which is great for summer — cooling and soothing. It smells exactly like cucumbers and is a bit sticky, like aloe.

Peppermint Foot Patches — I’ve tried these before. They are sticky patches you put on your feet and leave on overnight. They supposedly pull the toxins out of your body, but I’m not entirely sold on them. This particular kind smells like peppermint and they did have a noticeable cooling effect on my feet when I put them on.

Pure Smile Milk Essence Masks — I’m excited to try these new masks from Pure Smile which have a thicker, milky essence. Both have vitamin E, collagen, and hyaluronic acid. I tried the milk one and found it to have a slightly better fit than the other Pure Smile masks.

Mermaid Blue Eyeshadow Palette — The blue palette gives me 60s vibes. I am gifting this as I only wear neutral eyeshadows.

Lip Baby Fruits — A strawberry flavoured lip balm with some UV protection, though it doesn’t give a specific SPF/PA rating.

Fuku Fuku Yu Bath Powder — How cute is this packaging??? I love baths, even in summer, so I’m excited to try this. It has an apricot scent. A cat version was also sent out and has a peach scent.

Not my favourite Kira Kira Crate but there were a few standout items like the new masks and the bath salts. I’d like to see Kira Kira bring in more well-known and established brands now that they have been around for quite some time.
