Disney Park Pack – Holiday Edition is a monthly Disney ear hat ornament subscription box from the Disney Store. Every month, you’ll receive a fully-sculptured ear hat ornament with the bottom of the ornament featuring the month’s artist’s signature. It also comes with a satin ribbon for hanging. Subscriptions are available for $29.99 per month.

The box comes in a special blind box presentation package and has limited availability. The top closure looks like the outline of a hat ornament! It’s a super pretty box and fun to open.

The outer box unfolds to reveal the ornament. Disney Mickey Ear Hat Ornaments are crafted from resin and feature iconic elements of the characters and themes they represent. The regular ear hat ornaments are typically $24.99 and can be quite elaborate.

This ornament packaging is great – save them all to store your ornaments neatly when it’s not the holiday season (they are molded to fit that particular ornament!).

The artist this month is Casey Jones! Unlike the light-up ornaments, this one actually has the artist’s signature on the bottom.

Casey Jones is  both a Marvel and Disney artist.

This month’s ornament is Pele from Disneyland Enchanted Tiki Room! I picked up this fab ornament holder for $8 on Amazon. It’s quite large and perfect for keeping a monthly ornament out for display, and enjoying them all year round!

Pele is the Hawaiian fire goddess lives in the Kilauea volcano.

There isn’t a lot of detail on the back (I think it would have been nice if it said Enchanted Tiki Room).

But the sides have it!

The drummers are featured on Pele’s ears.

The satin ribbon attaches to the top of the ornament with a little lobster clasp and you can remove it if you would like to display it on a shelf.

A super unique entry in this series – and I have to say that I always love the retro kitsch of Disney’s Hawaiiana. I do have some conflicting info about this subscription – we’ve been told that this was the last ornament. At the same time – it’s still available for sale, order by 8/9 to have the the August ornament shipped by 8/15.

Is this box continuing? It has disappeared from the Disney site.

As far as I know the information that I had that it was being discontinued was correct.

Thanks for the quick reply. I was really confused before and after I found this post.

I had the annual subscription and had received an email that it was automatically renewing. Then I never heard anything else, checked my Disney Store account and it said that it was “inactive”. Talked to 2 employees, one said it was continuing but I missed out because I didn’t renew, the 2nd said it was cancelled.

Yeah, I spent 3 weeks over email with them. They were completely ridiculous. It was made more complicated by the fact that we have multiple subscriptions and they kept on picking different ones to discuss. After I completely gave up on them they emailed me again after this review went out that it was ended. Even though it was STILL up on the website. For whatever reason, Disney hasn’t really figured out subscription commerce. It’s not really all that hard – don’t take subscriptions for things that aren’t available. Be able to tell someone that a subscription has ended. And for pete’s sake, put a fun card in it 🙂 At least we have Disney Treasures!

HAHA at least I’m not the only one who was completely baffled! They tried saying that I received the “renewing” email in error and should have received a follow up saying it was cancelled… but I never did. After they tried the spam/you should have got it guilt route, I cited their own account management which tracks all your emails. They don’t like me either 🙂

I loved (most of) the ornaments. I will really miss it.

You are right – they really haven’t mastered the subscription service – but I feel like they aren’t really trying that hard. So much money they are losing out on.

Your last sentence is why I hold out hope! The revamped Tsum Tsum is a step in the right direction. They also have the capacity to produce excellent exclusive items, they just have to figure it out. You know how they release those exclusive shirts periodically? I’m hoping for a Disney shirt subscription. I think they are losing tons of money to the “inspired by” shops running off Instagram. They haven’t figure out they need to cut their premium a little bit to make sure consumers are paying for authentic licensed goods.

I always stalk those shirts but find it hard to justify the cost.

They seem to be buying into the Amazon route for t-shirts. Amazon prints the shirts on demand, so Disney just has to produce and post the designs. Much easier than having to stock, print, and ship the shirts themselves. Less overhead and no risk if a design doesn’t sell well. I love that you can find movies that are very hard to find merch for – like Pocahontas and Aladdin, just need more park inspired designs!

Right now, they seem to have over 500 shirts available through Amazon – all
