Annie’s Simply Beads Kit-of-the-Month Club is a monthly jewelry subscription box where YOU make your own creation! For $19.99 per month, you’ll receive a beading kit with step-by-step instruction and all the beads and findings you need to complete a piece of jewelry you’ll love to wear!

This kit is the “Mystic”, a quick an easy necklace, bracelet and earring set in Turquoise!

The kit comes in a plastic tray with deep dishes to keep all your beads and findings separate. It comes with its own plastic cover so you can move it around, even if you are not done with your project yet. The beads and findings were nicely packaged in plastic bags inside the dishes in the tray.

The booklet has nice and clear pictures of the individual components in the kit. This time, we get turquoise beads (probably synthetic beads), with heavy silver colored beads.

There’s also a list of the techniques you’ll be using. You need to keep the Beading Guide you’ve received with the first shipment, but on the website there’s a tutorial video for each kits for further explanations.

I usually find their instructions easy to follow, but there was something confusing with this kit. Probably because the assembly steps were using the full names (round silver beads, small flat turquoise beads, round turquoise beads, etc.) making it a bit harder to keep track of which beads you are suppose to thread. But once they are all laid out on the mat before threading, you can see if something is wrong or missing.

This kit is about making sure you get the right threading order. Here’s part of the necklace all ready to go.

Same thing with the bracelet. Of course, I cannot follow instruction properly so I made a mistake that I caught only when came the time to make earrings. So, I had to undo the bracelet and re-thread it on the leftover thread. I’m always happy to see we have a bit of spare of everything for these kind of mistakes!

Making the earrings was quick and easy, with only a single loop to do for each. Each time there are earrings to make in Annie’s Simple Beads Kit, they always includes clip-on as well as posts.

Final Result! This was a quick and easy project, and you end up with a fun necklace easy to wear in the summer to an afternoon party. It has some weight, but the turquoise beads don’t stick to the skin as other beads do.

Annie’s Simply Beads Kit-of-the-Month is perfect for beginners, or for someone more advanced who just wants to sit down with everything needed to make a fun design without having to think about it.  Few techniques are needed to achieve great looks that can be reproduced with different type of beads and findings. The tray is an added bonus as I was able to move everything from my beading room to the living room without any problem.

Have you tried this Kit-of-the-Month? What did you think of this project?
