The Target Art & Craft Kit is a monthly art & craft subscription for kids ages 6-10. You’ll receive a different crafting activity each month.

TIPS: Use your Target Red Card for a discount. Plus, be sure to subscribe to the kit for an additional 5% off!

Like the previous months, we received a single commercially available craft kit. The Ann Williams Dream Catcher Kit retails for $16.99 at Target. FYI, they also have the Ann Williams Monthly Craft Box!

There’s a booklet with all the instructions. I noted that the subscription age for the Target Art & Craft subscription has now been adjusted to ages 6-10. I’m going to be honest here – my 8 year old doesn’t have the patience to do everything here, and no way could a 6 year old pull it off.

The style of this is really fun, and super attractive to my nearly tween daughter.

You wrap the hoops with yarn and basically everything is tied together. I found triple knotting a little weary and did some wrapping and let my husband do the knotting.

The kit itself is for ages 8+ but they would definitely need adult assistance.

I think the details here are cute!

My daughter wrapped one hoop and her parents did the rest and I’m just not the biggest fan of this subscription yet .Target really hasn’t thought outside the retail box with this subscription yet. The reviews for the Target Art & Craft Kit subscription are appropriately atrocious. Nobody really think it’s worth the money (if you want the kit, just buy it) and generally the kits are fairly feminine, too old for the target range, and people are hoping for something like Doodle Crate except in a lower age range. We recommend checking out the Kids Art & Craft subscriptions if this subscription isn’t providing the value you expect.

I’m still holding out for improved kits – for June we received this $19.99 Fairy Garden and my 2 year old completely fell in love with it. He’s painted everything and right now we’re waiting for the garden to grow so we can take fabulous pictures. I feel I would be a little remiss not mentioning it, because overall May was a miss (and yes, we’re just publishing it at the end of June because we were so uninterested in actually completing the craft!).

Did you grab a Target Art & Craft Kit this month? Let me know what you thought!
