KANI is located in Washington and offers handmade products that are cruelty free and vegan. I was very impressed with their website and mission and although I’ve only tried one of their products prior to this box it was an awesome product and I couldn’t wait to get my hand’s on this month’s items!
We see our products as food for the face and body, so they should be as discriminating as the food we eat. Our low-volume batches, individually made by hand are each given the human touch, literally. It should go without saying that the goods we create should be something we’re proud of, and we are.

Here are the items in the June Pearlesque Box!
Paraíso Citrus Rose + Vanilla Body Elixer ($36) This product isn’t in the shop so the value was taken from the info card. I applied this oil to my body just after I jumped out of the shower but before drying off. Just a little was needed and it spread easily and smelled so good, like orange frosting! The oils are apricot kernel, safflower seed, jojoba, and several others along with citrus fruit oils, vanilla extract, and rosemary extract. I smelled quite lovely for a while, but it was skin close. Just an overall superb product.
I couldn’t find Mermaid Bloom Neroli + Vanilla Ocean Mist ($18) which is too bad because again, this stuff smells awesome! It’s described as a “dual action tropical face & hair mist” with a definite beachy vibe. You can either spray this on your face to set makeup or as an any time refresher, or spray on hair to add waves and texture or to refresh strands. This lovely mix includes aloe, vanilla, orange blossom hydrosol, coconut water, and sea salt. Even the bottle reminds me of sea glass!
Rose Tone Balancing Facial Mist Hibiscus & Rose ($21) I linked to a similar product in the KANI shop, perhaps they are repackaging and changing formulas since some of these products are similar to what they offer online. “This face mist is made with roses and aloe to hydrate, soothe, and leave you feeling fresh and awake.” I sprayed it on after cleansing and before moisturizing and it does smell like roses but fades pretty quickly. I also sprayed it on midday as a refresher. The ingredients include aloe, rose water, witch hazel, and hibiscus.
Galaxy Milk Illuminating Beauty Oil ($32) THIS is the product that I tried before and absolutely loved so I was so very ecstatic to get the full sized one in this box. “Lightweight, luminous, and otherworldly, Galaxy Milk is the dual-delivery formula every babe dreams of!” When I opened it up I was immediately transported to Southern California, where I was born and raised. It smells so good – fruity and warm and beach-like, like eating an apricot near the ocean.
Look at that! So sparkly! Wait, you may be saying. Will I look like the Tin Man? Not if you apply it correctly!
Here it is swatched. The top part is straight out of the bottle, the bottom part is where I wiped my finger after smearing the first drop.
Here it is after I rubbed it all over – it looks like a galaxy of planets and stars across the night sky. For my face, I applied a drop to the back of my hand, dipped a makeup brush in (you can use your finger) and wiped across my forehead, cheeks, cupid’s bow, and nose. I then took another brush and swished it back and forth over those spots to spread it out. You could also try dabbing it around with a makeup sponge. I also mixed a drop in a squirt of unscented body lotion and rubbed it on my arms and legs. Wow! I love it!
I am loving my new KANI Botanical Beauty products from Pearlesque Box! Each item smelled wonderful and they also made me feel like I was on a little beach vacation. The ingredients were very clean and I look forward to trying other products from this brand in the future. The value of June’s box is $107!
