Snack Fever is a monthly subscription box that delivers all your favorite Korean snacks, as well as other hard-to-find Korean treats. Each month, subscribers will get 5 to 12 Korean snacks and treats, depending on their subscription.

Snack Fever is available in three boxes, the mini box, the original box, and the deluxe box, and subscriptions are $14, $25, and $42, respectively, every month. This is the Original Box!

Snack Fever boxes are themed – the May box is all about Family!

DEAL: Save $3 off your first box (Mini, Original, Deluxe). Use coupon code HELLOSUB3.

The info cards add cultural flavor – and the word of the month!

The extra cards went a little further than just the monthly word with the names of the Hangul characters to learn.

The distinctive red box always has a fun paper liner to keep everything a surprise.

Everything in my May Box!

Kkokalcorn: Or, what I affectionately call K-bugles!

After wresting my toddler away from the box so we could take the intro shots, I asked him what he wanted, and he said CORN!

Everyone loves putting them on their fingers!

They’re so tasty. These had a pure, simple flavor.

Lotte Sand Black

From Lotte, Korea’s largest snack food company, these are what Oreos should taste like. Heavenly!

Comfy, decorated socks: What?! These are crazy. I love them! Kimchi Jjigae and… Ddeokggochi??

Choco Pie: This is really the Korean version of a moon pie, but with even more cultural currency. No fancy flavors this month, just straight up classic. I had to make sure to inhale one while the kiddo wasn’t looking.

Handmade Noodle Soup: Usually the Samyang noodles we receive in this box are CRAZY spicy, but this one is normal, with thick wide noodles (“knife cut noodles”) that are a traditional summer dish!

Milkis (Apple Flavored): This is a new flavor! These really are weird – fruit flavored milk/yogurt beverages that are also fizzy, but we love them!

Mother’s Handmade Pie: You can really see the French influence on Korean snack foods here with this multi-layer biscuit. It’s buttery, crispy, a little sweet, and a little savory!

Scotch Almond Candy: This is a crisp toffee candy with a whole candied almond floating right on top, and it’s delicious.

Pepero Almond: Another national snack, they’re heartier and more delicious than Pocky. Basically with all Korean versions there are no gimmicks and even with the mass produced Lotte items there’s a real focus on quality. These are liberally doused in chocolate and almonds.

Honey Waffle Mate: I didn’t open them for this review but they look exactly like the package and taste how they look.

There are two large pouches in this full-size snack, making it perfect for a noshing session or using them to decorate a whole family’s worth of desserts.  They’re so good and lightly sweetened with honey.

Butter Coconut: Another favorite! Flaky and buttery with a deliciously sweet coconut flavor. I can seriously plow through a package of these and with my toddler, we demolished it!

These are sweet cookie crackers with sugar on top. Very French inspired, they aren’t savory at all (unlike American crackers and cookies sometimes where these are on the sweet and savory spectrum can be unexpected – but expect to discover the diversity of flavors in this subscription!).

Gonggi (공기) Not Candy! This is the Korean version of jacks! There is more info in this wikipedia article or you can check out this video!

A sticker!

Family is the perfect theme for this month – my smallest subscription box reviewer (my 2 year old) flipped out completely when he saw the red box. This is his favorite box and it was extremely difficult to keep him out of all the photos for the box!
