Eattiamo is an authentic Italian food subscription delivered to you monthly for only $69 per box. You’ll get 7 full-size products, enough for a complete three-course romantic Italian dinner at home!

For some reason, this box had almost nothing in the way of packing material, so it arrived as a hot mess, with the almond milk having been punctured in transit.

DEAL: Get your first Italian gourmet box for 20% off + free shipping anywhere in the US! Use coupon code HELLO.

Their info card is designed like a restaurant menu, and they even call it a “menù.” Inside is some info on the company and its philosophy.

The theme for February is Italian Passion, celebrating some of the treasured foods about which Italians are known to be passionate.

The tri-fold menù is set out in menu format, with the items separated into courses. Each has a suggested preparation for the ingredients provided for that portion of the meal.

In total, the booklet sets out recipes for an entire three-course meal, complete with instructions, tips, and lovely photos. Even more recipes available on their site!

Everything in my February Eattiamo box!

Beef Salami: A halved log of salami made with beef. This product is made with halal meat, and obviously does not contain wine.

The sausage has a coarse texture and good balance of fat and meat. I was a little put off by the labelling that suggested refrigeration (not specifically limiting it to post-opening), since our box did not contain any ice packs or insulation. We never ate it.

Black Truffle Cream With Champignon Mushrooms: This sauce is a classic pairing of truffle and mushroom. It is ideal as a simple pasta sauce or spread on crostini.

Pastificio Artigianale Organic Angel Hair Pasta. Thin pasta made with fresh eggs. This style is referred to as “Deci’Ova,” because ten eggs are used to produce each batch of pasta. Our pasta was soaked with almond milk during shipping – this is a replacement pack included with a later box.

La Malva Rosa Old-Fashioned Tomato Sauce: A chunky sauce that is ready for heating and serving, or may serve as a base for building a complex sauce.

True to its name, the sauce is made the old-fashioned way, using a simple set of ingredients.

OOXX Exra Virgin Olive Oil: Tuscan olive oil from the first cold pressing of Frantoio olives.

The label pays homage to the sun-soaked Tuscan climate.

Only Frantoio olives, the fruitier of the two main Tuscan oil varietals, are used for this oil.

Don Gesualdo Rough Dark Chocolate: Sicilian-made chocolate with hot red pepper flakes.

Mandor Almond Milk: A natural product made from pressed Italian almonds. Perfect as a coffee lightener, substitute for milk on cereal. It can even be used for baking – the menù has a recipe for chocolate-studded almond “plum cake!” This box of almond replaced the one damaged in shipping.

We loved the format of this box, with foods for an entire meal from appetizer to dessert, with suggestions for serving each item. The products in our Eattiamo formed the main element of each dish, so little extra was required to put together a fantastic three-course meal. We love the authenticity of the items – made in Italy and not specifically for export. Great quality, too, perfect for serving your own romantic dinner or bringing to a gathering as a host(ess)’ gift. Our only issue was with the packing of this particular box. No refrigeration was provided for the salami, and the almond milk broke open due to lack of cushioning. It took several months (literally, three months) and many emails to get replacement items shipped to us, even having photo-documented the damage immediately.
