Chococurb is a monthly subscription containing extraordinary, premium, gourmet chocolates – this isn’t your convenience store candy! These items can come from small, local chocolatiers or more established national brands. Every box will have something new, exciting, and absolutely delicious. You can choose from the Classic Box ($35), which contains 5-7 items, or choose the Mini ($20), which has 3 items for smaller appetites. Shipping is free during the cooler months but expect to pay for FedEx shipping in the warmer months. I am reviewing the Classic Box today!

Chococurb wants to help you discover chocolate that you will love so they have a short questionnaire that you fill out to let them know your preferences.

The chocolate was wrapped in insulated bubble wrap and placed inside of a box that was then placed inside of a styrofoam cooler with an ice pack (no longer cold) underneath. My box was delivered by FedEx and was in perfect shape, no signs of melting!

I received 6 different items this month and they all look absolutely delicious. I was practically in tears when I opened this box. Yes, this box can bring on tears of happiness when I open it up!

Joe Chocolates Midnight Coconut Dark Chocolate “Creamy dark chocolate poured over Seattle’s finest small-batch roasted coffee beans and toasted coconut flakes.”

I’m not really into coffee – unless it’s covered with CHOCOLATE! I do like chocolate covered coffee beans and this is very similar, except the beans are chopped up and mixed with rich dark chocolate and topped with toasted coconut. Then it’s broken into bark and placed in a resealable bag for simple, natural energy on the go. I love this!

Chocolat Moderne Solbeso Mi Mucho Avant-Garde Bar “This ‘Blond’ white chocolate filled with caramel and Solbeso might be the most addictive thing you’ve ever tasted.”

I don’t know if I can bring myself to break off a piece of this work of art – it’s like an edible Jackson Pollock! Valrhona’s Dulcey is a blond white chocolate made with toasted milk powder. The inside features caramel and something called Solbeso, an adult beverage made with the fruit that covers the cacao beans!

I have to say I tried this before I read the description and could tell right away it had alcohol in it, and I may have to get a bottle of Solbeso to keep this happy vibe going. Blondes really do have more fun, at least in the case of this exceedingly smooth Valrhona chocolate. I am on cloud 9 right now. This is pure bliss.

Seattle Chocolates Fresh Mint Truffle Bar “This creamy milk chocolate use springy mint and is filled with chunks of chocolate cookies.”

Mint and chocolate are two of my favorite things and they go so well together. The milk chocolate is super smooth and punctuated with chocolate cookie bits. The mint is perfect – not to little, not too much. Goldilocks would approve.

Fran’s Almond Goldbites “This snack-sized confection packs a delicious blend of caramel, almonds, and dark chocolate.”

Look at those huge toasted almonds! They are surrounded by luscious caramel and covered in dark chocolate. Who needs Snickers bars?

Dilettante Chocolates Chocolate Covered Cherries “Real, dried cherries coated in rich, gourmet chocolate make this treat equally beautiful and delicious.”

Here’s the whole bag of cherries. They are the size of a large gumball or medium-ish jawbreaker.

There’s a dried cherry in the middle that’s covered in dark chocolate and then covered again in pink white chocolate. The center isn’t liquid like the usual chocolate covered cherry, more like a jumbo sized chocolate covered raisin.

La Naya Orange & Juniper Milk Chocolate Bar “One taste of this chocolate will bring Easter morning in Vatican, orange fruit, sunlight, imminent victory, juniper.”

This organic bar is “infused with emotion” and in this case they hope you will experience true joy. The chocolate is exceptionally smooth and the flavor is indeed happy – it reminds me of a Terry’s Chocolate Orange but in a more geometric artsy form. It pleases several senses at once!

I don’t even know how to START to pick a favorite from this box! This is so good and full of uncommonly  wonderful chocolates. I truly love getting this box since these bars are extraordinary and maybe not something I would pick out for myself – like a special present each month from me to me! I love chocolate and these bars are so satisfying that just a bit is needed to fulfill your cravings/sweet tooth/PMS needs.
