Boxwalla is a bimonthly subscription that offers four themes – natural beauty, artisanal food, international film, or books! In Boxwalla, you’ll be able to discover great artisans and artists from across the globe. This is the review of the Boxwalla Beauty Box that contains non-toxic and cruelty-free products sourced from artisans in the US.

I love the box itself, which is gorgeous, and save all of mine. The box itself is a luxe cotton rag paper covered box handcrafted by artisans in Rajasthan, India, and no child labor is ever used. The outside of the reusable box indicates which variety of Boxwalla you received. I love how the box itself supports socially and environmentally conscious goals.

The information card is a letter from “The Drunken Boxwallas” detailing each of the products. The theme for this box is The Wandering Wood Nymph’s Sun-kissed Alchemy!

This box focuses will be showcasing Ava Zhan’s exquisite skincare line Earthwise Beauty.

Everything in the June 2017 Boxwalla Beauty Box!

Earthwise Beauty Nap in the Meadow ($50) It’s a light aloe serum that promises to revitalize the skin, heal scars, eliminate breakouts, reverse UV damage and help repair skin tissue. I like how it cools the skin upon application. Smells so good too!

Cruelty-free and vegan! Ideal for those who have dry and sensitive skin, even for those who have eczema, rosacea, and psoriasis.

Ingredients include aloe leaf juice, elderberry fruit extract, turmeric CO2 total supercritical extract, Italian everlasting oil, German blue chamomile oil and wildflower essences. According to their website, you can refrigerate the serum to keep it fresh and for maximum cooling effect, which feels soo good.

Earthwise Beauty‘s Ruby Face Oil ($58) Acne-prone and sensitive skin will benefit from this face oil that contains guava seed oil, milk thistle seed oil, cranberry oil, rosehip oil, sacha inchi seed oil + other vegan ingredients.

This serum’s color is orange but gladly, it doesn’t stain.

This oil is lightweight and does not leave a sticky or grimy feeling on the skin, perfect for daytime use even during summer. You can even mix it with Nap (the first item) to add extra hydration.

Earthwise Beauty Farizad’s Veil Sun Protective Powder ($50) It’s amazing how this fine powder can serve as a sun shield. It feels light on the skin and doesn’t clog the pores!

This powder can be mixed with a serum or facial oil (like the Ruby facial oil) to create a lotion.

Ingredients include zinc oxide which is biodegradable and can be safely used around the eyes, and pure powdered aloe leaves which have moisturizing and cooling effects.

The powder is very fine and this is a great way to summerize your favorite products to add SPF.

Although only 3 products this month, the total value was $158. This is really an amazing multiplier for top-tier beauty products. Everything in the box felt fresh and pure and just… juicy! Even the SPF powder had aloe in it. I loved the focus this month and the concentration of botanicals to help heal and hydrate!
