I received 6 items in my subscription box.
OMG! Who hasn’t seen the movie “Mean Girls”? I have watched at least a dozen times. It portrayed high school life almost to a “T” with all of the cliques and drama. Only the strong survive!!!
My first item is a compact mirror, by the Bookish Shop, with a quote from the movie Mean Girls, ” You go Glen Coco“. The compact mirror has a regular mirror and a magnifying mirror just in case you just have to https://hellosubscription.com/go/bookish-box/have your close up. Even the velvety carrying bag has a quote from the movie.
It’s so fetch!!!
I also received a Mean Girls necklace from The Bookish Shop. It has the quote ” That’s why her hair is so big, It’s full of secrets.” on it. I laughed so hard when Damien said that. The necklace comes with a pink bag. It would be cute with any outfit, just ask the “Plastics”.
So we all know that Starbucks has it brand on things like shirts, mugs, and tumblers. Well in this month’s box , there was a tumbler with a logo similar to Starbucks but with a Mean Girls, Bookish Box twist. I’m sure the “Plastics” would use this cup. The quote on the tumbler is a play on the quote from the movie “We wear pink on Wednesdays.”
Also there was a print from Sombras Blanca Design. com. It is a mash up of some of our favorite characters and a quote from the Mean Girls movie. Too cute.
The optional upgrades were included in this box. There was a shirt from the Bookish Shop ($20). The quote on the shirt “the limit of books in my TBR pile does not exist” is a play on the quote from the movie Mean Girls where the main character Cady is in a math competition and the answer is “the limit doesn’t exist.” The shirts are always soft and have the best quotes and graphics.
I upgraded my box to include the book! This month’s book is Grit by Gillian French ($11.99 Amazon).
Seventeen-year-old Darcy Prentiss has long held the title of “town slut.” She knows how to have a good time, sure, but she isn’t doing anything all the guys haven’t done. But when you’re a girl with a reputation, every little thing that happens seems to keep people whispering—especially when your ex-best friend goes missing.
It is about a young girl, her missing friend and rumors. Who has been talked about at one point or another? I know I was talked about in high school. High school rumors were harsh. I have just started on this book. Have you read it? If so, what did you think of it?
Tell me what you thought about this month’s Bookish Box!
