To help celebrate Vogue’s 125th anniversary, this Limited Edition Box is our first-ever partnership with the brand. Vogue teamed up with horticulturists to create and cultivate the Vogue rose—a unique, vibrant peach-colored flower with an intoxicating scent—which inspired this assortment. The box includes exclusive shades from rms beauty™, NARS, and JINsoon, plus more petal-perfect products with tips on how to use them from Celia Ellenberg, Vogue’s Beauty Director.
The Birchbox x Vogue box includes:
Charlotte Tilbury Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask ($22) This is SO weird but so awesome!
This dry sheet mask is exactly what it sounds like – a dry sheet mask, as opposed to a wet one. I think it’s life altering. You can reuse it up to 3 times, which is bizarre, and I’m not sure how I feel about that (really, cleanse your skin before hand, even if you’re usually lazy and don’t). but not to have something wet against my face to hydrate it – so neat!
Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil ($9) I have pretty much liked (if not loved!) every Ouai product I’ve ever sampled, and this was no exception! This lightly scented oil absorbs quickly, giving a hydration boost to skin and smoothing down flyaways with a light fruity floral scent. If someone told me it was supposed to be rose, I wouldn’t believe them.
Earth Tu Face Face Balm ($68 fullsize) This full-size face balm is so lush! It combines redness reducing rose with healing immortelle for a double natural and organic punch. Immortelle is a natural essential oil with healing benefits that is very expensive.
This balm only has a light scent from the all natural ingredients – nothing heavy. It’s perfect for healing skin year round.
Herbivore Botanicals Rose Hibiscus Face Mist ($32) I love this product so much I already have the full size bottle in my desk caddy. I absolutely love misting! This coconut water mist has electrolytes to rebalance your skin moisture plus a light clean rose scent and hibiscus. It’s really light and refreshing!
You can use post-cleansing as a light toner or any time you want to replenish your face’s moisture.
Jin Soon Nail Polish in Vogue Rose ($18) This color was made exclusively to celebrate the Vogue anniversary!
It’s not what you’d associate with a typical rose color – it’s coral!
The formula applied nicely (but it wasn’t friendly to an almost immediate second coat application, it needs time in between). And the more it dried, the more orange it got. It’s a fun summer color.
NARS Soft Touch Shadow Pencil in Vogue Rose ($24) I could just about cry to see an exclusive NARS shade in a Birchbox limited edition box. Vogue Rose is a pinky champagne that applies beautifully and can be used as an all over shadow or as a highlighter.
NARS on the left, RMS on the right.
rms beauty lip2cheek in Vogue Rose ($36) Another exclusive shade! It must be that they asked the brands to come up with their interpretation of “Vogue Rose” because not one of these shades matches the other, which I think is interesting.
This “rose tone coral” I think is just so pretty – a touch of true coral (not orange) and a touch of rose in a sheer, buildable application for lip or cheek!
AERIN Rose Lip Conditioner ($28) This is the most heavily rose scented item in the entire box, and it’s not overbearing.
The lip conditioning balm is very thick and is reflective enough that I got a bit of a mod look!
I thought this box was fantastic! I’m not a fan of rose scents at all, and I was pretty afraid, but this is one of the best Birchbox limited edition boxes ever – they really pulled out all the stops for the Vogue 125th anniversary. I loved having the custom created colors and wouldn’t hesitate to get this box! There was nearly $240 in value, too.
And here’s what I got in my mystery sample pack:
