This is a review of the new Face the Day Curated Box,  which is now available in the Birchbox Shop!

Summer’s so close we can almost taste it. And we want this box to make you feel it. We’re simplifying our warm weather beauty routines by stripping off those extra layers (along with our jackets) to help you face whatever the day has in store for you—whether it’s with a one-and-done moisturizer that reduces shine, a swipe-and-go liquid lipstick, or any of the other multitaskers in this box.

You can visit Birchbox.com/MyBox to easily see the details of your box, which I recommend because sometimes they have videos on the item product pages which I find useful.

The information card gives brief details on each item as well as the price if you were to buy the full size.

Everything in the June 2017 Birchbox Face the Day Curated Box!

Davroe Wellbeing Treatments Ends Repair ($9.21) This all in one product is a lightweight styling cream, flyaway reducer, as well as split-end repair treatment. It’s so easy to use and leaves hair silky, too!

Davines SU Hair & Body Wash ($7.20) This is such a great all in one product – it cleanses and rehydrates sun-parched hair & skin and smells great with citrus extracts.

Murad Oil-Control Mattifier SPF 15 ($7.76) This mattifying moisturizer is pricey, but does the job, and adds SPF too!

When I tried this out my skin didn’t feel dried out at all, and the Murad kept the shine at bay.

Mellow Cosmetics Liquid Lip Paint in Tehran Nude ($7) This medium brown “nude” shade has a touch of pinky mauve in it that makes it so versatile for a variety of skin shades.

It’s highly pigmented and not drying – and paraben-free too!

Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash! Super Curling & Lifting Mascara ($8) This brush grips my lashes mid-lash, so I ended up with weird spiky lashes that don’t look good.

It’s worth giving this formula/brush combo a try to see if it works for you.

This was my favorite curated Birchbox in quite a few months – the value was really high again (yay!) – about $39 – and I just liked the products a lot better. Roller Lash still isn’t my thing – but the value of this box was high enough so that a product could be a complete dud for me and I’d still come way ahead.

What did you think of the June Curated Birchbox?

    Thanks, Brandy!

Now I’m looking (more) forward to my box arriving! It’s so funny how mascara works soooo differently on people. I love Rollerlash and one of my friends went out and bought it based on seeing how it looked on my lashes and HATED IT on herself. I felt awful. Conversely everyone I knew who got the Bella Pierre in Ipsy a few months ago adored it, and it was horrible on me no matter what I tried.

Also stoked to have a brown-Nude featured! I was hooked on watching Melrose Place on DVD for a few weeks (don’t judge…) and there was so so much brown lipstick, ah the 90’s…this will be a much less intense way to relive that vibe. Yippee!
