WhiskerBox is a themed monthly cat subscription box that features artisanal luxury items for your kitty. Four to six premium items are included which can be “stylish apparel, stimulating toys, scrumptious treats, and one-of-a-kind treasures from around the world.” Discerning felines with dietary needs can opt for non-edible items. A short profile is filled out at checkout including cat’s name, gender, weight, and if treats are to be included. WhiskerBox supports shelters, rescues, and sanctuaries with each box purchased. The luxury kitty box ships free to the United States and Canada.
WhiskerBox items are tested by feline lifestyle experts. Smokey, the head feline lifestyle expert, was a stray rescued by his humans at eight weeks old. My kitties think that is a cool job.

Everything in the box!
The April theme was “Cat Showers Bring May Flowers.” My cats names are listed on the card. Zoey is a 6-year-old torbie or patched tabby and Sunny is an 8-month-old orange tabby and they are both female cats that we adopted from our local animal shelter.
The Meow Menu is a delightful information card set up as a menu. The prices reflect retail plus shipping because WhiskerBox includes products not available in local shops. I will list the price from the individual websites but keep in mind that shipping will add to the cost, and therefore the overall value, of the box.
Here are my cats checking out the box. Zoey is the boss so she gets first dibs. Look at Sunny. She so wants to take a look.
While Zoey was sidetracked by the cat nip toy, Sunny finally had a chance to explore.
Here are the items in the April WhiskerBox!
This lollipop wasn’t on the card, just a little treat that I gave to my daughter.
Our first menu selection is PLAY.
Cloud and Raindrop Organic Catnip Toy ($6.50) is a cute little item that is perfect for April showers!
Zoey is a bit of a catnip addict so I wasn’t surprised that she chose this item.
Oohh, do I detect a hint of catnip?
Mine, minion! Do not dare disturb my happy place!
Eventually Sunny got her chance.
Whiskers ‘n Paws “Max” Rabbit Fur Cat Toy ($2.75, available as part of a 6-pack for $16.50) This super soft item is made of rabbit fur and a cotton ball. The fur is incredibly silky and my kids wanted to keep it for themselves to rub against their faces.
Sunny quickly claimed this one for herself. Zoey would have nothing to do with it.
Sunny would throw this fur ball up in the air and then bat it around. Or roll around on the ground with it.
Tastes like chicken!
Now on to TASTE.
Weruva Cats in the Kitchen 1 if by Land, 2 if by Sea ($3.60, available in a 4 pack for $14.39) The “1 if by land” is beef in this concoction and the “2 if by sea” are tuna and salmon.
This was kind of saucy but it did have a few big chunks of meat.
Sunny thought it was great. I came home from work and all that was left was a few larger pieces of meat in the bowl. Zoey doesn’t eat wet food, which is weird as every cat I have ever lived with previously has loved canned food!
Finally on to STYLE.
Nava Pets Natural Cat & Kitten Organic Dry Shampoo ($9.99) I never considered that cats might need a dry shampoo! This all organic formula is made with arrowroot, catnip, and oat-straw powder and you shake it on, work it in, then brush it off. I haven’t tried this yet as my cats are still losing their winter coats but I am sure to try it during the summer.
Oohh, a treat bag! I wonder what’s inside?
The Sophisticat Bow Tie + Collar by Cat Couture I couldn’t find this collar online but the info card lists it as $35. I sent a picture of the cats wearing it to my daughter who said it looked like Burberry. I said it should be called FurBerry, or maybe PurrBerry – I love a bad pun either way. It features black, tan, red, and white colors in the plaid, otherwise known as “Haymarket check”. It’s adjustable and has a plastic buckle and metal D-ring for a leash, bell, tags, or whatever you might need to add.
Here’s Zoey modeling the collar. She posed beautifully, right in front of a fan. Sigh.
And here’s Sunny, hanging around the office chair. I feel like the collar was a bit too chunky for my cats and since the buckle won’t break away easily I would suggest saving this for when the cats are inside and not roaming around outside near fences, etc. Maybe they can model it when guests are coming over so they can oh and ah over my chic little darlings.
My cats loved their new toys and looked smashing in their collar. I like that I can try a new food treat or toy without having to buy in bulk, in case my cats dislike the proffered product. I think WhiskerBox is a great choice for people who like to dress up their cats, provide them with unique toys, and treat them to delectable foods that you might not find in stores.
