VINEBOX is a monthly wine-by-the-glass subscription box that provides its subscribers with three wines to taste for $29 a month, or save on a longer subscription. The wines sent are very nice wines that are usually at least $30 a bottle so this is the ideal wine club for people who enjoy high-end boutique wines but want to try them before committing to purchasing an entire bottle. You can choose from reds, whites, or a mix, plus you can choose Adventurous, Classic, or Newcomer to get the best experience for your comfort level. Because the wine has been repackaged from its original bottles, the shipped tastings will only last for approximately 3 years from date of receipt. I decided to drink mine within just a couple of days!

The three glasses of wine arrived packaged inside of a sleek black box with cushioning to keep them safe. Mine were delivered by FedEx and keep in mind that an adult 21 or older must sign for the package. Tasting note cards are contained in an attractive envelope and you can find recipes and music to go along with the wines on the VINEBOX website.

You can find information on each wine under “Wines” on the VINEBOX website.

All of my wines this month are from Italy!

Each wine included a card with tasting notes, but the flip side of the card had a saying of some sort, cute or otherwise.

2013 Corte di Valle Chianti Classico is made from Sangiovese grapes in Tuscany.

My husband said it is one of the best wines he has tried! He tasted cherries and citrus and said it was smooth and not overly dry. This would go great with pizza or a pasta with red sauce.

A Harry Potter reference? I already love this wine!

2015 Marchesi Incisa della Rocchetta Roero Arneis From the Piedmont area and made with Arneis grapes, which can be difficult to grow.

I prefer white wines and I really enjoyed this one! It was dry and I usually prefer sweet but the peach and citrus notes and acidity made my mouth water. I would call it fun and lively and it went really well with the lemon milk chocolate bar I savored with it.

I love this song!

2012 Don Paulo Aglianico is made from Aglianico grapes from Campania.

My hubby said this was similar to other dry, full-bodied wines and was bold with notes of chocolate and red berries.

Wow, I thought my first VINEBOX was pretty cool! I loved how they had tasting notes and info on the cards, but there was so much more info on their website, to help me really get to know the wines. My husband enjoyed the reds and even though I prefer sweet whites, this white was delicious and refreshing. I like to drink a little wine at a time (otherwise I feel ill) so this amount was perfect for me, plus the screw top lids meant that I could enjoy a few sips and then place back in the fridge to enjoy another time. I also appreciate that I can choose which types of wine I would like to receive.
