The box came with a cute and in season information card about this month’s soapmaker. For May, we are introduced to Clayburn Comforts Soap & Body Works, located about 80km west of Vancouver in British Columbia.

This box smells sooooo good! There’s a lot of warm spices, something fresh and something very earthy. Every single bar is wrapped in a biodegradable film to preserve freshness.

Information about the soap is written on the back of the card, with the name of the soap and which ingredients is organic.

They are so pretty!

Oceana Organic Soap. Look at the loofah hiding inside this soap! This one smells so fresh with the peppermint oil, but the rosemary leaf oil adds some depth to it, without smelling herbal.

Honey & Oats organic Soap. I love how the bar has a round texture, almost like honeycomb! Or maybe that’s just me. Even thought the Lavender is first in the list of ingredients, what I smell the most is the Orange peel (yummy!). This is MY soap, with the chamomile and Ylang Ylang in it. The soapmaker says this is a great soap for dry and sensitive skin.

Amber Chai Organic Soap. When I see “Amber”, I always think first about the stone itself. But Amber is also a scent that doesn’t actually use amber, the gemstone. I love this scent, as it is very earthy, zen-like, and mixed with the cinnamon, it is warming.

African Spice Organic Soap. This one is my favorite of the lot. It has that spiciness coming from the Star Anise seed oil, mixed with kaolinite for great clay skin treatment. The Soapmaker says this is a great soap for face and shower.

I’m so happy with my first box from Sudsy Bar Soap Box! The company featured this month picked nice soap that will appeal both men and women, and I really like the variety offered. They all feel great on the skin, they smell great, and they all have their own personality! What’s not to like?
