Sci-Fan Block is a monthly sci-fi & fantasy geek subscription box. It’s part of the Nerd Block family, and every month you’ll get 4-6 epic items plus a custom sci-fi themed t-shirt.

This box has been updated now to Sci-Fan Block! Boxes will now contain both sci-fi and fantasy goodies.

The magazine was missing from my block.

Everything in my April 2017 Sci-Fan Block!

Dune: Arrakis Art Print: This might be the first time I’ve seen anything DUNE related in a subscription box! I’m really excited to see this! The most valuable planet in the universe can now be right on your wall! This great print is inspired by the film poster and has some really nice embossing and clear foil effects.

The art was created by Barrett Biggers. Check out his Etsy shop for some amazing stuff – incredibly detailed work!

Labyrinth: 30th Anniversary Special Book ($4.99)

This is a 30th Anniversary comic with an exclusive variant cover.

This is a cool item, but I was definitely hoping for a collectible for the variant item (something in the vein of the previous Eye of Sauron snow globe).

The comic itself is a great look at the story and a nice look back.

FYI, this book was indeed bagged and boarded!

King Kong Shirt ($15?)

One of the greatest of the classic movie monsters! This one has classic Kong, plus a nice inlay of him owning the Empire State Building!

Metrobot Pin

This pin is so creeptastic because it literally looks like it has a different expression with every. single. picture. I took of it. The Metrobot pin was inspired by the 1927 Sci-Fi groundbreaker Metropolis.

The pin was created by Ashley Hay.

Although through the vagaries of international copyright the film isn’t in the public domain, but the copyright doesn’t seem to be enforced, so you can watch the entire thing on Youtube.

The Twilight Zone The Clown Figure ($12.69) One of 11 figures was in every box, and I won the jackpot with creepy clown.

Clown is a 3 3/4-inch scale action figure from The Twilight Zone! There are 5 points of articulation and it comes with an umbrella.

This is a Bif Bang Pow Limited Edition 0709 of 1400.  This is a great classic item!

Star Trek The Original Series Vintage Shot Glass Set ($13)

Subscribers received 1 of 20 vintage art Start Trek shot glass sets! These are amazing, one of my favorite items from this box ever! I received set 16 of 20. You can see ALL the sets on Amazon!

Episode 37 ‘I, Mudd’

Episode 48 ‘A Private Little War’

Episode 13 ‘Conscience of the King’

Episode 51 ‘By Any Other Name’ – with the Cuboctahedron! These glasses are amazing!

This was a really fun retro box and I enjoyed everything in it – which was high quality! I felt the quality of the last box was lacking, so I’m incredibly pleased with this box and its nod to the origins of my science fiction obsessions.
