Nomadik is a subscription box for outdoor enthusiasts. Each monthly box includes functional gear designed to increase your fun in the outdoors. All products have been trail tested by an outdoor adventurer and often incorporate new technologies. Every box has one large, featured product, between one and three smaller products, and one or two inspirational items to get you outdoors.

DEAL: Save 10% off any subscription with coupon code HELLO10.

The theme for March 2017 is ‘Preparation + Inspiration.’  The info card lists a bit about each item in the box and its approximate value.

The box included a Nomadic Challenge card announcing a hiking photo contest.

Everything in my box!

ROVA Magazine Spring 2017 Issue: The premiere issue of a magazine dedicated to exploring life on the road. The magazine celebrates mobile lifestyles ranging from seasonal road-trippers to itinerant retirees.

I thought this article was fascinating! It talked about Amazon’s concerted efforts to incorporate seasonal campers into its workforce because of their dedication and professionalism. It caught my eye because of my having seen a Daily Mail article in December of 2016 that cited Amazon campers as a sign of poor treatment and compensation at distribution centers.

The mag has pages of beautiful photos.

There is quite a bit of content.

Epic Wipes ($3): This is a truly unique product – a single, ginormous wet wipe! The package is the size of a travel tissue pack, so it is compact enough to fit easily in a pack, saddlebag, gym bag, or car. The wipe is a massive 31.5″ x 19.7″.

The wipe is moistened with several essential oils with natural anti-bacterial properties. Perfect for that mid-week “shower” during your next long trek.

Wild Hedgehog Tactical Ouch Pouch ($15): A first aid kit with essentials treating minor wounds.

The kit isn’t designed for field surgery, but it is more than sufficient for most scrapes, scratches, and cuts. Included are antiseptic wipes, various wound dressings, and analgesics.

A discount card is included for 20% off follow-on orders.

Gear Aid ReviveX Durable Water Repellent ($9): Water proofing spray for treating water repellant garments to revive their ability to repel moisture.

The bottle contains up to two treatments and is recommended for use on Gore-Tex and similar fabrics.

GSI Infinity Backpacker Mug ($10): This lightweight insulated mug is perfect for hitting the trail.

It holds over a pint of liquid

The sleeve is made of recyclable polypropylene, with foam padding and a durable webbing handle.

The lid has a snap closure that allows it to be used for sipping, or it can be removed to use the vessel as a soup cup.

The sleeve can be removed completely for easy clean-up.

Nomadik is a really fun box for anyone who enjoys casual or frequent hiking, tent camping, animal tracking and just hanging out in the outdoors. I love the way the box works in new tech and gear without abandoning its reverence for the purity of the outdoors experience. The Rova magazine wasn’t listed among the box contents, so I hope it becomes a regular inclusion –  it had great content, fulfilled the inspirational mission of the subscription, and it really made the box seem more substantial. Nomadic makes a great gear update for constant adventurers and a fun motivational kit for those who get out less often.
