The booklet is brief but contains all the information necessary.

Deco Nail Stickers — These aren’t just any nail stickers! One of them has a tiny LED light in it which reacts to the phone signal from your Android phone or other near field communication like a travel pass. Sadly I have an iPhone and my transit pass didn’t do anything. They’re still super pretty though, and I think they’ll fit my small fingernails!

Make-Up Multi-tool — A brow brush, lip brush, and spoolie stack into one another to create a long eyeliner-sized tool you can use for travel. This is such an innovative idea!

Candy Doll 2Way Lip & Cheek — A vivid pink shade that can be worn on the lips or cheeks. Candy Doll’s packaging is known for its colourful striped design!

Angel Recipe All in One Essence — I’m pretty sure Angel Recipe is the same as Dotfree which is another Japanese brand. The packaging and ingredients between the two are identical, so it’s possible it has since been renamed. Regardless, this is a fragrance-free essence that contains arbutin and Vitamin C (MAP). It also has collagen in it. It does contain alcohol as well if your skin is sensitive to it. I found it applied smoothly to my skin and gave it a nice hydrating boost. I like to do a sheet mask before I apply another essence, as I find it preps the skin and allows everything to absorb more easily. The product isn’t scented which is good for people with allergies or fussy skin.

Country & Stream Honey UV Water Gel SPF32 PA+++ — OMG this made the whole box for me. Japan and Korea do their sunscreens right, and they have so many more advanced filters that haven’t been approved by the FDA. Did you know that in North America, sunscreen is considered a medication? Sadly they haven’t approved any new filters since the early 2000’s, which is disappointing and means we are light-years behind Asia and Europe when it comes to sun protection. This sunscreen also contains royal jelly and hyaluronic acid, both which are hydrating. The consistency is a light, watery gel that is pretty drippy and dries completely matte. Some reviews I found compare it to the 2015 formulation of the Biore Ultra Rich Watery Essence which is extremely popular. This is by no means waterproof or sweatproof but with the large size and pump dispenser I’ll definitely use this on my body for the short walk to work in the morning. This sunscreen is sold on various beauty shops for $19 USD so this is the hero item of the box for me.

I really liked this month’s theme. The sunscreen legitimately made the box for me, and the other items are practical and fun as well. I think the theme was great and nmnl found some very cool items.
