The theme this month is “The Holiday Beauty Prep.”

MINTD Box comes with a small booklet that contains details about the items in the box.

Everything in my box!

Miller Harris Lumiere Doree Body Perfume (£24, about $31) This is a brand that I’ve never ever received in a subscription box!

This is a fresh citrusy scent with neroli, bergamot, and jasmine to round it out with a a base of amber and white musk. It’s citrusy and like sunlight but grounded and quite lovely, with a strong hint of freshness. I really like this item!

Patchology Posh Peel Pedicure 2 Treatments (£32, about $41.25 – sold in US for $30) The ultimate holiday prep item!

This Patchology set is like Baby Foot, but fancier!

The set includes 2 pairs of plush foot mask socks plus 4 individual use packets of activating essence, an AHA + BHA blend with glycolic, salicylic, lactic, and citric acids.

The back instructs that you pour the desired amount of essence into one of the socks and evenly distribute along the inside of the lining, then you place your foot in and secure it. You wear it for 60 minutes, or 90 minutes if greater exfoliation is needed. For very best results you soak your feet in water 15 minutes before and after the treatment. This is perfect for a movie night! Plus, it smells really good, surprisingly so!

Lauren B. Beauty Botanical Nail Treatment Twin Pack ($85.75 – $100 on brand site) The price of this item is unbelievable to me, then again a Lauren B topcoat runs about $22.

First the Nail Growth Serum: It’s described as a “sheer blend of amino acids, antioxidants, Vitamins E and C, peptides and biotin sinks in instantly to boost natural nail growth and strength.” I applied this to the base of my nails at the cuticle, because as far as I know, applying things to my actual nails doesn’t make them grow any faster – they’re dead cells. The biotin could certainly boost the strength of the nails, but putting anything on the actual nail won’t help them grow.

The Nail Balm: this product is in a click pen applicator and meant to be brushed on your cuticle to hydrate them up. It’s somewhat of a liquid balm with a bit of beeswax to form a protective barrier.

I liked this set, but couldn’t get over the silliness of painting something on my nails to make them grow, especially for $100. I would expect to get something like this from Julep for maybe $25. Regardless, I’ll use all of it, just in my own way that makes the most use of it!

Soveral Mandarin Kiss Lip Restore Balm (£17, about $22)

This balm was firmer than I expected! It’s made out of 100% organic ingredients and has an unusually scented combo of grapeseed oil, sunflower seed oil, mango seed butter, and beeswax to heal and protect lips with mandarin peel oil to provide antioxidants to encourage cell growth. Both the website and the packaging note the presence of mango and cocoa butter, but the ingredients don’t actually mention cocoa butter at all. I think it was omitted from the list, because it definitely smells like it has it – hence the unusual chocolate orange scent! On my lips it definitely feels like high quality cocoa butter.

Kahina Giving Beauty Body Serum Essaouira ($32)

This argan oil-based serum is heavenly! It has a nice floral trio of rose, lavender, and geranium combined with exotic sandalwood and uplifting petitgrain. This is one of Kahina’s less intense scents and is designed to evoke the Moroccan seaside village of Essaouira.

The packaging says for best results to apply while damp – and if you’re too dry your skin will just soak in every bit! This body serum is intensely moisturizing and the scent lasts. I love it and will try to resist getting a larger bottle.

I’ve had my eye on this subscription and have been waiting to subscribe, and I just loved this theme. I’m all about vacation – or feeling like I’m on vacation! I skipped the previous month because it had a big bottle of vitamins (something I’ve found British beauty subscriptions love to send, so odd!). This box had $201 in value and was absolutely excellent. If you like a good mix of luxury beauty and are willing to pay a premium this is a nice box. I do think that the Lauren B item was shockingly overpriced and you can get Sally Hansen Nail Growth Serum for about $7. I was still happy with the box, I just wished half the value wasn’t concentrated in that product.
