Meowbox is the original cat subscription box filled with fun and unique toys as well as healthy treats. For $22.95 per month, you receive 4-6 items in the box; you can opt to receive the box every other month if you like. All edible items are sourced from Canada or the US with special attention to finding treats that are handmade, local, or grain-free. Wait until you see the kitties enjoying the box!

This was my first Meowbox and I was surprised to see my cats names on the inside of the box! Zoey is my 6 year old tabby and Sunny is an 8 month old orange tabby. Both of my cats are females that we adopted from our local shelter.

My products were wrapped in Meowbox paper and sealed with a feather that was made to look like a tail. What an adorable touch!

Everything in the box!

There was a card with a holiday I have never heard of but that is celebrated on April 29th.

I am grateful for the people who keep our precious pets healthy! Meowbox sends several variations each month and you can check out which possible items were included in the April box here.

Now for some unboxing pictures with cats!

Zoey’s hugging the pizza toy while Sunny cruises on by for a closer look.

Sunny is trying to grab the flower by the stalk.

Resting before playing.

No silly Zoey, it’s not a real flower!

Yum, catnip!

I have received so many pins in boxes that I have no idea what to do with them so I’m going to start putting them on tote bags. But Furrst, Coffee! by My Cat is People features a tuxedo cat in a cup, which I am going to pretend is a tea cup.

This pin was made in Canada by an Etsy vendor and she has other pins that are purrfect for cat lovers on her site. I think I need the “cat hair don’t care” pin personally.

I couldn’t find this Maui Meowi Pure Catnip online and the link on Meowbox took me to a site that sells cat trees. I’m not sure if this is a cat toy or if I’m supposed to open it up to sprinkle on the cat scratch box. Right now Zoey, my catnip addict, uses it like a toy so I will have to watch and see if it shows signs of wear and if it does I will transfer to a different container.

Sunny takes a turn with the bag o’catnip while Zoey figures out how to get to the pizza.

Zoey with the catnip. She licks it every once in a while.

Here is another Meowbox exclusive product from Ruff & Whiskers. This plush pepperoni pizza slice has catnip and again, Zoey couldn’t resist this soft toy.

Sunny loves pizza!

Zoey considers playing with the pizza.

LeSharma Wool Flower Cat Toy is yet another exclusive toy that was made in Nepal out of 100% wool in a fair trade facility. Zoey loves this fuzzy flower.

I keep telling you, it doesn’t smell like flowers! Maybe it smells like sheep?

Sunny liked carrying this one around in her mouth.

Vital Essentials Wild Alaskan Salmon Treats are made from freeze-dried salmon and are grain free. I’m not sure if I received a bad bag but there was a piece of treat in between the zipper closure and the seal so that could have something to do with it. The smell from inside the bag is overwhelmingly plastic and my cat who eats anything refused to try this.

I was surprised to find that Sunny loved the box just as much as the toys! She played with it for a long time, rolling around, jumping in and out, and sometimes pretending it was a sled (since it would slide around on the carpet!).

My cats enjoyed their first Meowbox! I liked the cute toys and catnip is a big hit in our home. Our only disappointment was the snacks but I couldn’t believe how popular the box itself was! Meowbox donates a can of food for every box sold. A can tracking number will be sent to you so you can track your can and find out which shelter received it.

    Deb,
My name is Laura, I work for Vital Essentials. I saw this review and was bummed to hear there was a nibblet in the seal, this would most likely cause that smell you encountered from the treats having access to oxygen. I would be happy to send you a brand new fresh bag to try. Please contact me at [email protected].

What a great review though of this cat box! I would love to get one for my [spoiled] kitty, I think she would go crazy for those catnip toys!

    Hope to hear from you,

Thank you so much for reaching out! I am very impressed with your customer service and that of Meowbox, too. I know things happen and hearing about the niblet made me laugh, I never thought to call it that!

Thanks Anna! I left these toys in my office so the cats would have something to do while I blog!
