GlobeIn is committed to empowering artisans around the world by providing them with a global distribution network for their goods. With each shipment, you’ll get to learn about the artisans and communities your purchase has helped to support.

Subscriptions cost $40/month, but the price can go as low as $35/month with a longer subscription. For those who would prefer to receive one handmade product each month, GlobeIn also operates the GlobeIn Club which costs $10 each month.
The theme for February 2017’s Artisan Box is Unwind.
My Globe In Artisan Box arrived in an attractive Globe In signature cardboard box and was wrapped in turquoise tissue paper.
Everything in the Unwind Box!
I agree with the quote on the card: “Take time to unwind, it helps heal your body & mind.” It is such a nice reminder for a busy mom like me – we really need to de-stress even just once in a while!
I like how GlobeIn has transitioned from affixing their quotes to the box to including them on a card ($3). The curator clearly puts a lot of thought into the themes each month, and they make for delightful greeting cards.
Along with all of the lovely items in the box, the Unwind Box includes a booklet that gives details about each of the artists responsible for the items in the box.
First item in the box, Nose Glasses Holder and Rosewood Catch-all Tray from India.
This was produced by hand in North Central India, where woodcarving is a way of life.
Thanks to this unique holder, I’ll never have to lose eyeglasses again.
Meanwhile, this tray will be useful in storing keys, accessories, and other trinkets. GlobeIn actually gave a nice suggestion – this, along with the eyeglass holder, can be placed near the door so that after coming home from a tiring day outside, you can just drop your things here and go straight to unwinding in the comfort of your bed.
The pair of organic socks included in GlobeIn’s Unwind Box were also made in India. Organic cotton farming has been significantly reducing energy use and global warming compared to conventional cotton farming. Knowing this makes me feel even more comfortable when wearing these comfy socks!
The socks are men’s size, but I don’t really mind especially when they’re so comfy to wear at night!
The enclosed Rosewood Bottle Opener was carved by the same people who made the eyeglass holder and tray.
It is indeed an essential if your concept of unwinding involves a bottle of wine! As GlobeIn suggested, “Sip. Relax. Repeat.”
The included glass mug was made in Tonala, Jalisco. This place is known as the hub of glassware and pottery, and as a home to the glass-blowing workshop of Cristaluc.
I thought my new mug was nice and unique. It’s the perfect size, just right for a refreshing drink while watching TV or reading a book.
GlobeIn even included additional tips on how to relax and unwind.
Great news! GlobeIn announced that they will be collaborating with Matr Boomie for a fundraising project for the woodworkers in India that made our new glasses holder, tray, and bottle opener.
This month’s Unwind Box was awesome! GlobeIn is easily one of my favorite subscriptions and I always look forward to the variety of items they send each month. This subscription is also perfect for gifting to the mindful women in your life!
