Geek Chic Short Story …..
It’s the 90’s and you are home sick from school.
You have successfully fooled your parents into thinking you were sick and you are up on the couch or in bed chilling and relaxing flipping through the tv shows trying to find something to watch.You turn it on Ricki Lake for a few ,maybe you want a laugh so you flip it on Jerry Springer. You see Sally Jessy Raphael on check that out for a bit.But the geeky gal in you knows those won’t bring you the story and adventure that you want on this glorious day off.You find Star Trek The Next Generation on and you grab you some food and hop back on couch or bed and settle in. Picard ,Data,Worf,Geordi,Dr.Beverly Crusher,Deanna Troi,Riker, Guinan,and who can forget Q!
After watching 6 or 7 straight episodes your parents come home and you have to get back in the sick act but also your feeling a little better 😉
One of your parents went to Blockbuster and they brought home Aliens!!
This will be your 1st time watching it because they said it was too scary for you to watch before so you are very excited. After dinner is made they pop it in while you eat and that eerie music plays and two hours later your jaw is dropped and your mind is racing with all the action.Ripley has kicked Alien tail all over place and no one is as tough as her. Newt was a brave and strong little girl and all those marines what a bunch of characters they were,and Bishop the android turned out to be a faithful friend.
You get into bed with Star Trek adventures and that intense Aliens movie in your head and finally drift off.
