EsianMall appeared last summer with snack and beauty boxes. Since I last reviewed their debut box, they have completely restructured. They now have three boxes – Tasty Snacks + Geek Gear, Cosmetics + Geek Fashion, and a T-shirt of The Month Box. The snack box has three sizes, the beauty box has two, and the shirt box is just one. My review is of the large snack box ($34.95 per month)! I clicked through the website to learn more – you actually do a quiz when you subscribe so there is some level of customisation available in terms of some treats being included or not.
The yellow is so cheerful!
There’s no detailed product card anymore. Scan the QR code to get a list. I find this method very frustrating and prefer something like Love With Food – they don’t have a product info card, but have a website printed on the card instead of making it a hunting game. The reverse of the card has the QR code for the Beauty box.
Cheese Ramen — Cheesy ramen noodles! I love jazzing my ramen up with green onion and eggs so I think this will be fun to play around with.
Corn Star Snacks — Star-shaped chocolate corn puffs! I think the character on this box is from an anime series but I don’t recognise him.
Green Tea Kitkats — These matcha flavoured kitkats show up everywhere! I don’t like green tea snacks but I love Japan’s creativity when it comes to Kitkat flavours.
Green Tea Gummies — See above. I didn’t have an info card so I had to taste one to figure out what it was.
SENBEI! You all know how much I love my rice crackers. The ones on the left are sweet soy with seaweed flakes, and the ones on the right are cheese.
Fits Grape Gum — Fits makes great gum. I I’ve had a few flavours but never the grape.
Meiji Chocolate — These little mushroom chocolates have a cookie stem and a strawberry chocolate hat.
Corn Puffs — These remind me a bit of bugles. They weren’t that interesting but they were still enjoyable. I took these into work with me as the bag is pretty big!
DIY Animal Candy Kit — With this kit you use coloured candy melts to make cute lion chocolate lollipops!
Choco Cakes — Reminiscent of our moon pies.
The cream inside isn’t too sweet. I really liked these!
Deadpool Socks — Officially licensed, these are a soft printed fabric and a crew cut. On me they go up to my knees because of my small feet.
Deadpool Sticker — This is super awesome and can be stuck on a notebook or binder.
Esian Mall packs a big amount of snacks into their boxes. I like the mix of Korean and Japanese. The geeky items are never the forefront of the box and are nice extras.
