Disney Park Pack – Holiday Edition is a monthly Disney ear hat ornament subscription box from the Disney Store. Every month, you’ll receive a fully-sculptured ear hat ornament with the bottom of the ornament featuring the month’s artist’s signature. It also comes with a satin ribbon for hanging. Subscriptions are available for $29.99 per month.

The box comes in a special blind box presentation package and has limited availability. The top closure looks like the outline of a hat ornament! It’s a super pretty box and fun to open.

The outer box unfolds to reveal the ornament. Disney Mickey Ear Hat Ornaments are crafted from resin and feature iconic elements of the characters and themes they represent. The regular ear hat ornaments are typically $24.99 and can be quite elaborate.

This ornament packaging is great – save them all to store your ornaments neatly when it’s not the holiday season (they are molded to fit that particular ornament!).

The artist this month is Brian Blackmore! Unlike the light-up ornaments, this one actually has the artist’s signature on the bottom.

Unlike some of the other artists, which appear to perhaps be contractors, Brian Blackmore is Principal Character Artist at Disney for the Parks merchandise and has been there for over 23 years! As in he draws the characters, this is the guy. There’s not much about him online, which isn’t surprising – I believe you can see his work pretty much anywhere there’s something Disney Character. He also leads, trains, and teaches all the new artists. I think this is going to make this a really hot collectible.

This month’s ornament is The Orange Bird! Orange Bird has fun Tiki ears in this version, a great little beak, a “tuft” of leaves instead of feathers, and he’s scented!

The satin ribbon attaches to the top of the ornament with a little lobster clasp and you can remove it if you would like to display it on a shelf.

Orange Bird was created by Disney for the Florida Citrus Commission as a mascot when they sponsored the Tiki Room in 1970. Orange Bird went away for a while, was brought back in Japan, and is now back in Florida at the Sunshine Tree Terrace. Definitely a retro fan favorite!

So the scent on this will go away, which is a good argument for keeping this one out on display so you can enjoy him and his fun orangey scent.

What a great feature and I’m really happy to see Disney really getting into the superexclusive subscription box concept. More of this, please!

Scented is a fun twist on the ornament.
