The Collectors Case is a geeky mystery box shipping from Canada. This box is super cool because you have a chance to receive a mystery POP Vinyl or a celebrity autograph! There is typically a theme for the month. The boxes themselves have been redesigned — they are now smaller and made of natural coloured cardboard instead of white.

The production of this box is top notch – the branded kraft paper is thick and smooth, and looks so professional!

The information card is designed to look like a file folder. April’s theme seems to be fantasy/dragons.

The info card includes all the items you’ll receive. You also have a chance to receive a bonus Pop vinyl or an autograph!

Dungeon Master An awesome D&D themed shirt. In D&D, the Dungeon Master is the person who organizes the game and constructs the narrative of the story.

The Hobbit Pin Set ($9.95) A set of 13 pins featuring the cast of the Hobbit trilogy.

Rock Paper Wizard ($16.93) This is HANDS DOWN the neatest thing I’ve ever received in Collector’s Case! It’s a spellcasting game using hand gestures to cast spells. Each spells have strengths, weaknesses, and other criteria or conditions. I’m so excited to try this. A bonus card was included separately.

The box packs a surprising amount of components — a game board, gold pieces, character markers and plastic stands, and around 30 spell cards in addition to the rule book.

We were sent a trio of blind boxes!

Lord of the Rings HeroClix ($5 each?) HeroClix is a type of tabletop gaming which features a dial on each miniature that is turned as the character takes damage. It’s a cool alternative to traditional pen and paper tracking.

Dragon Age Vinyl ($10.50) Vinyl minifigs from the Bioware series, Dragon Age! This game is one of my favourite series.

My HeroClix! I got Samwise Gamgee and a Rider of Rohan. I don’t understand the other papers included, but they are so incredibly detailed I’m going to display them as is.

My Dragon Age vinyl! This is a Grey Warden. His sword is a little bendy and probably won’t be much use against the Archdemon, but it still looks cool.

Game of Thrones Trading Cards ($2 each?) Based on Series 4 of the HBO series.

Gaming Die Collection ($5?) Gaming die of all colours and sides! These are great to have on hand for game night.

The trading cards are pretty dull as trading cards go. No trivia or special cards, just pictures.

My favourite items in this box by far are the card game and the Lord of the Ring minifigs. There’s a definite Dragon theme to this box and they pulled it off really well. Some of the items weren’t as interesting to me but I still think Collector’s Case is one of the strongest geek boxes out there.
