Barkbox is a monthly subscription box just for dogs. Each box has 4-6 dog products and are customized to the size of your pup, plus it has a cute theme that you and your dog will get a kick out of.

This Barkbox is for small dogs like our miniature schnauzer, Lindy, but you can get them for medium and large dogs too — check out our Barkbox reviews for a peek at the big dog boxes! NEW: the heavy chewer box!

This month’s custom paper suggested we should expect a Western theme. BarkBox always does a great job of making the box decor and treat and toy selections fit the theme. It’s always lots of fun!

DEAL: Save $10 on your first box with promo code MS10X1213 though it should pop up automatically. FYI – it’s a much better deal to opt for a longer subscription for this box!

The box theme is The Good, The Bad, and The Pugly! The intro card introduces the theme and shows various premium toy possiblities from which yours was selected.

The reverse side had a pop-out wanted poster for posing your own pup.

She looks pretty guilty to me.

The artwork on the decor is always really funny. This little scene was hidden on the inside wall of the box.

And here are this month’s cute dog items!

MCF Beefy Brisket Bites ($6): These beefy treats are made with real beef, oatmeal, rice, and barley, plus Cheddar cheese and beef tallow.

The paw-shaped biscuits are solid, but not crunchy.

Our dog tries to gobble these without chewing – they must be really tasty!

Happy Howie Lamb Burger ($4) A big, dried lamb burger made in the U.S.A. from natural, real lamb.

The patty is about the size of actual fast food hamburger!

No Grainers Bacon Trainers ($5): Made from chicken, whey, peas, potato, and a medley of other ingredients.

The treats are shaped like halved tubes and are sized for training medium and large dogs. A few of them makes a nice treat for a smaller dog.

The treats actually contain no pork, getting their flavor from natural hickory smoke flavoring.

Bark & Co. Take the Money and Run ($12): This iconic money bag has a stuffed lower half that crinkles and lets the bag stand upright. A braided rope makes it easier for you to handle.

Inside are a pair of squeaky coins that can be chewed separately or used to weight the bag. A very industrious dog may be able to retrieve the coins from the bag himself, but the opening is pretty small.

P.L.A.Y. Theres A Chew Sheriff in Town ($8): A crinkle rim surrounds the hat, with a small squeaker hidden in the middle.

The hat has a stamped sheriff’s star emblazoned on the front.

I was surprised to see that the toy is machine washable!

It’s tested to meet children’s toy standards – but please keep in mind that your dog is, possibly, a more fierce chewer than your infant.

Lindy stumbled upon an entire Western motif, and all she seemed to care about were the treats! She did take some pokes at the hat (she always seem to be able to sense where squeakers are hidden), though good luck getting her to wear it. She loved the treats this month, and the toys were super cute!
