TopMunch promises to take you on a trip around the world with their snack box. Each month features snacks and treats from somewhere in the world. Currently they only ship within the US, but I’m hoping to see them branch out to other locations!
There’s a note about Italy, a splash about the culture, a playlist to help magnify the tasting experience and top phrases. This is just the tip of the enclosed pamphlet.

The reverse has detailed travel information, details on the five included snacks and information about the referral program. I don’t think there is a detail TopMunch has left out and that makes for a wonderful experience.
Asturi FocacciBites in Olive Oil and Sea Salt. These are deliciously crispy and delicate in texture and can be eaten alone or with my favorite dips. They are salty and crunchy, so much better than croutons, the perfect pairing to a fresh salad.
Taralli Classici – Classic Crackers. Tarali are circular shaped crackers that are common all over the southern parts of Italy. Similar to bagels, they are briefly boiled before being baked giving them a very interesting texture. Unfortunately, these are hard and dry, almost like a bagel that was left on the counter unwrapped for a few days. Not really my cup of tea but they might be a nice touch to a cheese and cracker platter.
Mulino Bianco Galletti Biscuits. Founded in Parma, Italy in 1877, these treats are famous for their natural ingredients and rich taste. It’s basically a shortbread cookie with sugar crystals on top, it’s scrumptious!
Asturi Amaretti Cookies. These are the original Italian macaroons. Make them seem a little more sophisticated by enjoying them with an espresso or dessert wine or be like me and enjoy them straight from the bag alone in front of the television. The amaretto flavor paired with a burst of sweetness is too brilliant to share.
Sfornatini Rosmarino – Rosemary & Olive Oil Breadsticks. They claim these are perfect with every meal but I learned that I dislike rosemary in the most extreme way.
April’s TopMunch was great! All of the products were fresh and delicious. My favorites were the cookies! Both the Amaretti Cookies and the Galletti biscuits were divine, I will be looking for them in my local Italian store. This box is a great way to sample treats from around the world that you probably wouldn’t be able to enjoy without visiting the country yourself. If you are a foodie or know one, this would be an awesome gift!
