The Taste and Curiosity around the world international snack subscription box is quite interesting as it doesn’t make you commit to a monthly $19 subscription if you don’t want to, and allows you to buy a box curated to a particular country. China, Japan, Korea and France are what have come out at this point.

This review takes a look at the France Box which they named the Paris Set.

The box came filled and well packed. There was an information postcard included which describes all the products. This was my first time trying most of the things in this French treats box and I was happy to see a little chocolaty goodness included.

This box contained 7 varied treats, ranging from sweet to salty. It also contained a magnet. A different one is included in every box.

St Michel Madeline was a nice cake-like treat and the Nougat bar from Chabert a Guillot was soft to the touch with big almond slices inside. I’m not a fan of nougat so I can’t attest to the flavor, but know the fact that it was soft is a big plus. Meanwhile, the Carambar is a caramel bar with jokes in French on the wrapper inside, like Laughy Taffy. It was a good caramel and I thought the wrapper was cute too with the little smiley face on the end.

The orange-flavored lollipop was a different flavor from the orange lollipops we find in the US. It actually had a zesty flavor to it, similar to the smell of an orange peel.

The St Michel Coconut Sable cookie had a nice crispy cookie taste to it. The Michel et Augustin milk chocolate and melty caramel cookies disappeared almost instantly as they were my favorite item in this box. Finally, the Michel et Augustin Mini Rectangle Crackers in Green Olive and Rosemary lived up to their name and tasted like both quite strongly. I don’t like either flavor, but my friends I shared them with said they were fantastic.

Above is a description of the contents from the included contents card.
