Every month Target launches non-subscription Target Beauty Boxes.  Depending on the contents, they are themed and cost $5-10, and sell out quickly! This box happens to still be available!

April’s box had the theme “Hello Peace of Mind” with Target’s latest obsessions inspired by moments of zen. The card reminds you that you can find the full-sized version at Target.com/beautybox.

The April Target Beauty Box was $7. There’s another version of the box this month – the Naturals Box, also still available, also $7!

The information card gives brief details on each item, and there’s a $3 off $15 coupon too.

Rimmel Colour Precise White Eyeliner ($5.59) This is Rimmel’s first colored eyeliner – and everyone received it in white!

I actually didn’t notice that it was white when we posted the box – some YouTubing was in order to check out the possibilities. It turns out that it’s best used with bold shadows and dark, full lashes, and will take some practice.

There’s always a lot of feathering when applying liquid liner to the arm. This liner was a tad streaky when applied, but a fun, cheap way to fool around with a new trend, although I doubt most of us will get a terrible lot of use out of it. Let me know your successes (if any!) with this one in the comments!

HASK Argan Oil Repairing Deep Conditioner ($1.77) The intensive conditioner in this large single-use packet (or multiple uses if you have hair like mine!) is designed to strengthen, and smooth dry & damaged hair with the restorative benefits of argan oil. It’s free of sulfates, phthalates, gluten, alcohol and artificial colors. I’ve used this one before and it’s ultra hydrating, at least for me.

Banana Boat Dry Balance SPF 30 ($1.33) This sunblock dries with a soft matte finish to help avoid the sticky feeling you get with some sunblocks and to encourage sunscreen application. It’s water resistant and has a beachy sort of spa scent and definitely has more of a matte finish than other formulations. This product does contain parabens – if this matters to you, the April “Naturals” Beauty Box is still available too!

La Roche-Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser (56¢) This soap-free cleanser is best for normal to oily skin – perhaps more of a concern when we get into the summer months! It foams up gently and my face felt clean and not oily and not dry. Surprisingly to me, it also removed some stubborn makeup. It’s also sulfate and fragrance-free and uses ceramides and niacinamide for keeping skin at the proper moisture level and improving skin tone.

Dr Teals Lavender Foaming Bath (43¢) This foamy lavender scented bubble bath is augmented with epsom salts to help soak away sore muscles and soothe you before bedtime with a gentle lavender scent. I don’t take baths, but this one works great in the shower, too!

eb5 Facial Cleanser (44¢) Another soap-free facial cleanser! This one uses AHAs to gently exfoliate your skin while using vitamin E and oat proteins to simultaneously hydrate and sooth, to avoid any drying effects. This one’s also billed as removing oils without drying.

Sally Hansen Double-Duty Base & Top Coat ($3.99)

This top coat pulls double duty as a base too! I think the nylon in Sally Hansen’s formulas works really well, especially for my nails, and I totally turn to it for nail rescue when I haven’t been nice to my nails. I was thrilled to see this full size in the box!

Not a giant value in this box – about $14 – but that’s still double the cost of the box. I would have never have tried out the white eyeliner trend without this box – and (spoiler alert!) even if I wasn’t very successful it was fun to test it out. I’m really happy with most of the items selected for the box, plus there’s a $3 coupon that I’ll use too.
