Sigma Beauty Mystery Haul Boxes are one-time mystery boxes featuring the best beauty products of Sigma Beauty.  They offer 3 mystery boxes: Want It Mystery Haul ($15), Need It Mystery Haul ($30), and Must Have It Mystery Haul ($50).

Note that they just refreshed their Mystery Haul collection – this box is no longer available – but brand new hauls are!

This is a review of the Must Have It Mystery Haul ($50).

The Must Have It Mystery Haul is a 9-piece set featuring top-picks from every major Sigma category. Including 3 full-size brushes, award-winning brush care pieces and exclusive makeup. 4 full-size cosmetics universally flatter the cheeks, lips and eyes – including a 12-shade eye shadow palette. This set, at this price, you’ll be breathless – must. have. it.

The envelope on the top included brand literature.

There was a booklet with the features of their products, plus a sheet with a complete list of Sigma Beauty products.

From products for your face, brows, lips and eyes…

… to face and eye brushes, and beauty gadgets and accessories!

What is this magic?! It’s the Dry n’ Shape Tower. Amazing!

Finally the mystery box! It was actually packed in a small plastic sleeve that was much smaller than the big box it came in.

Everything in my box!

The information card gives you a list of all the items, plus a short description.

There’s also a code given for $20 off your $65+ purchase.

Mini Sigma Spa Brush Cleaning Mat (free gift with $100 purchase) I really had to test this out once I knew it was in the box. They make a really large one ($32) and an express size ($25) as well as some gloves. It has 7 patented textures to wash both eye and face brushes.

There are suction cups on the back. I tested it out and it works well – and surprisingly well when it’s dry. I may not ever move it off my table now that I know it works dry.

Mini SigMagic Brushampoo ($2.95) This brush cleanser is made with just water, coconut oil, and palm oil, and it works amazingly well.

The fats lift off lift off everything and it just rinses away.

I love that this is fragrance-free, and it’s worth noting that coconut oil has antibacterial properties.

Power Stick Lipstick in Stamina ($25) This lipstick is creamy and rich! Even though it’s a standard lipstick I found that the color lasted an extremely long time.

HOLOOO! The packaging is weighty and the lid secures with magnets.

There’s a SIGMA stamp on the lipstick itself.

Sigma F40 Large Angled Contour Brush ($23) This fluffy angled contouring brush is, well, super fluffy. I actually found that it was too fluffy for a lot of uses and made a bit of a mess of powders, but it was nice for blending.

Sigma E70 Medium Angled Shading Brush ($16) This angled brush is good for lighter applications of shadow, like on your brow bone or for a softer application on the lid.

Sigma E55 Eye Shading Brush ($16) This dense brush is great for packing on a base layer of shadow.

Eyeliner in Vintage ($6.30) A matte taupe brown. I have to say for a clearance eyeliner – it was fantastic! It’s rich and creamy and glided on without warming up, plus it’s paraben-free.

Aura Powder Blush in Lady Slipper ($19) More lovely holographic packaging!

This product is billed as an all over color. It’s formulated without parabens, sulfates, phthalates, mineral oil, or casein – and I have to say I was honestly surprised at some of the “withouts” on these formulations. I didn’t think of Sigma as the kind of company that thought paraben-free was important, and I was impressed with that.

This opaque cool pink really works better as a blush. I can’t see it working as an all-over color or as a contour, unless you’re doing under-foundation contouring.

Eye Shadow Palette in Smoke Screen ($27.30) And finally a full sized eyeshadow palette!

There are 12 shades!

The shades I received have cool undertones – palettes varied amongst purchasers.

Also paraben free! The shadows were nicely pigmented without a lot of fallout, although some of the darker shades were a tad streaky.

The liner & lipstick, then all the shadow shades!

I’m really happy with this palette! Most of the shades are really great for my skin tone & eye color combination.

I was incredibly impressed with all the Sigma products after playing around with them, and I am glad I hopped on the big kit because I really hadn’t tried any of these products out. Sigma currently has a value set up on QVC including the big mat & a full-sized bottle of the brush shampoo too. Since they seem to be branching out into different retail channels, I’d be more than happy to see more Sigma Beauty products popping up in subscription boxes!

Valerie also picked up the smallest box!

Want It Mystery Haul ($15):

Valerie raved about the brush cleaner but wasn’t crazy about the mat. It’s worth pointing out if you just want to try it, this kit is a lot less expensive!

The brush cleanser is AMAZING – I compared it to my Quo (Canadian brand) cleaner and while Quo did the job it didn’t nearly have the satisfying lather of the Sigma. The sample size packaging has an eyedropper opening which I don’t like as the cleaner is clear and hard to see, so shaking it onto my mat I just had to hope it was landing where it needed to go. The fullsize version has a pump.

The mat itself I think is handicapped because of the size. It only has two suction cups and they didn’t adhere to my sink as well once they got wet. One coming loose meant the mat was rotating as I was cleaning my brushes. I think the larger mats come with more suction cups to adhere better on the sink. I LOVED that even with the smaller size, I was able to clean 2 or 3 eye brushes at the same time.
