This box is really decorated inside and out. While the outside has little food items on it, the inside is full of bright green words. Plastic wrap and brown butcher paper keep all the contents safe.

March’s Degustabox is an Easter Box. Subscribers had the choice of two box options this month, one which includes cider and a non-alcohol version which includes two non-alcoholic drinks.

Information sheets provide details for all of the items.

Heinz [Seriously] Good Sauces Creamy Tomato & Garlic Sauce (£1.99) is a flavourful accompaniment for meat and vegetables. The sauce is pungent, with lots of garlic and a bit of unexpected spicy heat. I tried this with fried shrimp and it made a decent pairing. While I wasn’t crazy about this sauce, my husband really enjoyed it.

Pipers Crisps Co Burrow Hill Cider Vinegar & Sea Salt crisps (£2.00) are produced in the UK using locally grown potatoes and ingredients like Somerset cider vinegar.

These are tasty, with just the right level of tang from the vinegar and salt. They aren’t as thick as a kettle-syle crisp, so if you prefer a less crunchy crisp then you will love these. I prefer my crisps super-crunchy, but I still enjoyed these.

Naturelly Jelly Juice (£1.19) is a drinkable snack made from fruit juice, water, and gellan gum. It has a unique, soft jelly-like consistency but is gelatine free, as well as gluten, wheat, dairy, nut, and bee free. I thought the apple and blackcurrant flavour was surprisingly tart, due to no added sugar or sweeteners, and I can see how it would make a fun and healthier snack for kids aged 2+.

I’m a fan of the classic Oreo Cadbury bars so I was thrilled to see new Cadbury Dairy Milk Oreo mint and peanut butter (£1.49) varieties in the box. The bars have a flavoured oreo-crème type filling with pieces of cookie, all coated in milk chocolate.

The peanut butter bar is yummy, kind of like a cross between an oreo cookie and a peanut butter cup. The mint flavour, however, is just downright delicious! If you are familiar with the Thin Mint cookies sold by the Girl Scouts of America or Keebler’s Grasshopper cookies, this bar tastes just like those thanks to the mix of chocolate cookie crumble and mint creme. While I’m usually partial to peanut butter things, I definitely prefer the mint in this instance – it’s a must try!

I’ve been using Maldon Smoked Sea Salt Flakes (£1.50) with most meals since receiving my Degustabox. The salt imparts a gentle smoky taste to dishes. The only downside is that the large crystals don’t stick well to food, and as it is so delicious, it’s tempting to over-season your food.

This month’s box contained two bottles of Weetabix On The Go Breakfast Drink. Both beverages have a thick consistency, sort of like a smoothie. The Weetabix On The Go High in Protein Blueberry and Blackberry Breakfast drink (£1.99) has an artificial tasting berry flavour. It wasn’t bad, just not as nice as a fresh berry taste. I much preferred the Weetabix On The Go Vanilla Breakfast drink (£1.39). It tasted like cake batter! Unfortunately, this also means that it has less protein, more sugar, and more fat than the berry flavour. Nonetheless, I would buy this product if in need a quick and easy breakfast.

Whitworth’s Full of Super Cacao Raw Bars (£1.50) are a delicious healthy tasting treat packed with almonds, seeds, chia, quinoa and acai. The most prominent flavours are coconut, nuts and cocoa. The shredded coconut adds texture and requires some chewing, so this isn’t a bar for those who don’t like coconut! I thought this was tasty and just as good as other raw bars I’ve tried.

£OnePounders Chocolate Eclairs (£1) are part of a range of 65 confections all priced at £1.

For such an inexpensive treat these were really good – soft, chewy, rich and caramelly.

What is Easter without jelly beans? The box of Jelly Bean Factory (£1.49) contains 36 flavours of gourmet jelly beans. These are just as scrumptious as you’d expect.

And of course, it’s always fun to try to identify the different flavours as you taste. My personal favourite was the cinnamon! The jelly beans are also gelatin, gluten and nut free, and suitable for vegetarians so almost everyone can enjoy them.

YUM. Rebel Kitchen Chocolate Mylk (£1.89) is an organic coconut milk drink with cacao. This delicious dairy free drink is made with nothing but spring water, coconut milk, date nectar and cacao. It has a lovely, deep chocolate flavour which perfectly compliments the coconut milk. There are also some tiny bits of coconut in it, which is a nice touch. I loved this!

Gusto Organic Lemon Energy (£1.50) is a sparkling fruit beverage containing Amazon guarana, Siberian ginseng, and astragalus. The drink is pleasantly fizzy, not too sweet, and with a subtle taste of botanicals and refreshing tartness from Sicilian lemon. I really enjoyed this. It is a nice, natural tasting alternative for those in search of an energy boost.

The alcohol version of the March Degustabox includes two rather attractive cans of Westons Cider.

Caple RD Dry Cider Blend No. 5 (£1.99) (5% abv) is a mid straw/amber cider brewed in small batches and matured for up to 18 month. The resulting product is a very crisp and dry cider. The tasting notes say that this is a complex, full-bodied cider with a tart finish, but unfortunately, I didn’t get that when drinking it. I found the cider to be extremely dry and not very flavourful – it almost tasted watery to me – and the finish was only a little bit tart. Sadly, neither my husband nor I cared for this.

Pure Hopped Cider (£1.99) (4% abv) is a collaboration between Westons Cider and Purity Brewing which combines cider and English Target hops. It is pale in colour, slightly hazy and with a strong hoppy aroma. This was an interesting beverage which balanced the sweetness of cider with the flavour of hops. I thought this was okay and would make a good entree into cider drinking for a beer lover, or vice versa.

I always enjoy delving into my Degustabox and the Easter box was certainly no exception.
