Girl Boss ($54.95): A Girl Boss has a fresh perspective on her industry. She takes her career seriously without being too serious. Fun colors and cute patterns inspire her to grow and succeed in her career.

DEAL: You can save 15% on the first month of any month-to-month subscription (Girl Boss or Lady Boss) with coupon code HELLOSUBSCRIPTION15.

The book looks interesting!

The box comes with a mini magazine with a feature on a woman that changed the world. Amelia Earhart was a courageous woman that became the first person to fly solo across the Pacific Ocean. My children will forever associate her with Night at the Museum 2 movie.

The table of contents makes it easy to find information on the items. The March theme is ‘Be BOLD – Be YOURSELF.’

Each brand has an information page that provides detail on the company and the item.

Covet Crate Lady Boss Crate – March 2017

Here are the items in the March Covet Crate Lady Boss Box. I can’t wait to take a closer look at the items.

I will be reviewing the items that are in both of the Girl & Lady Boss Crates first.

USB Flash Drive

The elegant-looking custom made 8GB USB Flash Drive ($9.00) has custom artwork etched on it. It’s a classy way to move files and store media. I will be using it to store the many photos from our vacation earlier this month.

The Rose + Vanilla Moisturizing Lip Balm by Leaf Seed Berry ($5.95) is packaged in a slim tin. The lip balm is moisturizing and non-greasy. The rose geranium oil gives the lip balm a powdery rose scent. Jessica uses the highest quality ingredients and makes her products in small products to ensure freshness. The design is sleek and pairs well with the items in the box.

Heart: Mind: Spirit: Vinyl Lettering

The inspiring Heart: Mind: Spirit Vinyl Lettering ($13.00) can be placed on a mirror, wall, or wherever you want. I am going to give it to my sister who is refreshing her bedroom decor with various inspiring vinyl lettering.

Mistakes I Made at Work

Mistakes I Made At Work: 25 Influential Women Reflect on What They Got Out of Getting It Wrong edited by Jessica Bacal ($8.98) is a must-read!

In Mistakes I Made at Work, a Publishers Weekly Top 10 Business Book for Spring 2014, Jessica Bacal interviews twenty-five successful women about their toughest on-the-job moments. These innovators across a variety of fields – from the arts to finance to tech – reveal that they’re more thoughtful, purposeful and assertive as leaders because they learned from their mistakes, not because they never made any. Interviewees include:

  • Cheryl Strayed, bestselling author of Wild
  • Anna Holmes, founding editor of Jezebel.com
  • Kim Gordon, founding member of the band Sonic Youth
  • Joanna Barsch, Director Emeritus of McKinsey & Company
  • Carol Dweck, Stanford psychology professor
  • Ruth Ozeki, New York Times bestselling author of Tale for the Time Being
  • And many more

For readers of Lean In and #Girlboss, Mistakes I Made for Work is ideal for millenials just starting their careers, for women seeking to advance at work, or for anyone grappling with issues of perfectionism, and features fascinating and surprising anecdotes, as well as tips for readers.

The 25 short essays are easy to read and contain advice that women can use in their careers. Great selection!

Silver Bolsa

Marlena, Marla, and Marta are three sisters that live in El Salvador. They create products using upcycling to help pay for medical bills. The stylish Silver Bolsa ($20.00) is made from chip bags.

The silver bolsa has a sturdy zipper. The body of the bag is a beautiful, geometric design.

The following items are in the Lady Boss Crate Only:

Eshop Angel Silver Handmade Bracelet

I immediately thought of my sister when I saw the EShop Angel Sterling Silver Bracelet ($19.99). The Sterling Silver plated bracelet has moveable beads. It also has an extender that fits from 6.5″ to 8″.

The bracelet looks beautiful on her.

Covet Crate: Business Card Holder

I would have loved to have the Covet Crate Business Card Holder ($20.00)  when I was attending the farm conferences last month. It can be tiresome to be in a male-dominated field. Covet Crate stated in its description that it is the same product as Kate Spade’s “Let’s do Lunch” with “Lady Boss” laser engraved on the cover. I do worry about scratches and will keep the card holder in a purse pocket.

Sessa Vee Copper Curve Pen

The Sessa Vee Copper Curve Pen ($9.00) came packaged in a velvet holder. Velvet is impossible to keep clean in my house because of the cats and dogs. The holder will never look this good again!

The rollerball pen is refillable and has a .5mm tip.

I agree with Sessa Vee that it writes closer to .7mm. I took the picture before reading the description and was surprised by the thickness of the letters. The pen felt comfortable in my hand and had a nice weight to it.

I like how the Silver Bracelet flows with the Silver Bolsa.

Treats!

My family loved the Ghiradelli Dark Chocolate Raspberry Squares.

The March Lady Boss Covet Crate curation is a classic, sleek look. The business items are useful and the lifestyle items are beautiful. I loved how Covet Crate included women-owned businesses and an Etsy artist in the box. The Lady Boss value is almost $106.00. It’s a great box that will encourage and inspire you.
