The Collectors Case March 2017 Subscription Box Review

We received this box for our review. Hello Subscription may earn compensation via links in this post. Read the full disclosure

The Collectors Case is a geeky mystery box shipping from Canada. This box is super cool because you have a chance to receive a mystery POP Vinyl or a celebrity autograph! There is typically a theme for the month.

The production of this box is top notch – the branded kraft paper is thick and smooth, and looks so professional!

The information card is designed to look like a file folder.

The info card includes all the items you’ll receive. You also have a chance to receive a bonus Pop vinyl or an autograph!

Spock Shirt LLAP! These riffs on the Keep Calm and Carry On slogan are everywhere now but I like this. And it’s blue, which is fitting since Spock wore the blue Science officer uniform.

Star Wars The Force Awakens Bobblehead ($10.00) I got Rey! Four variations were sent out.

Star Wars Max Rebo Bobblehead ($12.95) This is part of the Funko Specialty line. Max played the organ in a band in Return of the Jedi.

The Doctor Who Official Annual 2016 ($10.50) A hardcover book featuring comics, monster data files, puzzles, and other trivia around the BBC series.

The Good, The Bad, and the Alien (Eleventh Doctor Adventure) ($9.99) I’ve always loved the Doctor Who novels — they’re light and entertaining and a way to read more about your favourite companions. The Eleventh Doctor is my favourite, so I’m excited to give this one a read even if it’s quick.

Here’s a page from the Annual — it’s tailored for a younger audience.

Skele-Trek Blind Bag ($5.50) These blind bags feature skeleton versions of your favourite Trek characters!

Star Wars Evolutions Trading Cards 2 packs of the newest Topps series of trading cards. Cards included span all of the Star Wars media from the movies to games to books, highlighting the most important characters.

BB-8 Pen YAY BB-8! I love anything with that little droid on it.

I got quite a few main characters in this pack — baddies Darth Vader (and Anakin himself!) and Kylo Ren, and some goodies like Amidala and R2-D2. In my other pack I got Obi-Wan Kenobi, two variations of the Princess Leia card, and Luke Skywalker. So there’s a good mix of base cards as well as the special scene cards.

Here was my Skele-Trek minifig.

I got lucky this month (again!) and got a surprise pop vinyl…

It’s Logan! Rather fitting with his new movie just having come out. He’s a bit top heavy but he stands up fine on his own.

This was definitely my favourite Collector’s Case so far — the space theme was right up my alley with the emphasis on Doctor Who and Star Wars — and the bonus Marvel pop didn’t hurt! I think this is a really fun box and the presentation makes it so enjoyable. Plus you have a chance for a random autograph or a bonus vinyl so there’s definitely that added thrill!
