We Cheesy is a subscription box for all the cheese lovers out there! Every month you’ll get a box filled with cheesy items and delicious cheesy foods. You also get items that are meant to be “cheesy,” pun intended.

DEAL: Get 10% off your first order. Use coupon code YOUNGMANCHEGO. Applies to new subscriptions only. Cannot be combined with other offers.

An insulated bag with cooler pack kept the actual cheese at a proper temperature and safe from damage. All other items were nestled in paper squiggles.

The box is designed for people who love cheese – but that doesn’t mean cheese is the only thing in the box. It also has some other great snacks and fun stuff.

Everything in my box!

Whispering Breeze Farm Havarti: The box always has a block of actual cheese. This month they included a nice Havarti. It’s a Danish cow’s milk cheese, characterized by its semisoft texture. I like this table cheese because it has a variety of uses. It can be either sliced, grilled, or melted.

The block has a dense, slightly springy texture. The aging showed in the flavor of the cheese, as it had a tiny bit of sharpness to accompany the expected mellow creaminess.

Annie’s Homegrown Organic Summer Strawberry Bunny Fruit Snacks Umm, there’s no cheese in here. These are strawberry-flavored gluten-free organic fruit bites ideal for snack time or as a grab-and-go treat. No artificial flavors and synthetic colors.

Rare Opportunity Bakehouse Wicked Bar: This wicked bar is a cluster of sweet toppings with a variety of textures, all crammed onto a cookie-like base.

It’s a yummy treat, and the toppings include coconut, walnuts, chocolate, butterscotch, cranberries, and apricots on a graham base. But still no cheese.

Barbara Original Cheese Puffs ($3.29) This baked-not-fried snack is bursting with tasty flavors – a combination of cheddar and blue cheese. So crunchy, too! The texture was exactly like the big brands, but the flavor was a nice change of pace. I loved them – my kids said they were really good, but that they tasted different than they had expected – maybe I can convert them to blue cheese fans after all!

Stacy’s Parmesan Garlic & Herb Pita Chips ($0.83) Parmesan cheese, garlic, and parsley = yummy. This pack of pita chips was fresh and crunchy. It can be eaten straight from the bag (they have plenty of seasoning) but would taste great with a spinach dip or humus, too.

Kay’s Naturals Chili Nacho Cheese Protein Chips ($1.71) Made in Minnesota, this pack of protein chips is a guilt-free snack with a balance of lean soy protein, carbohydrates, and fiber. They are great to have around when you want a crispy snack without loading up on carbs. The chili and nacho cheese flavor is so good!

Last month’s box had items that didn’t fit into the concept of We Cheesy. This month, we received two non-cheese items (the fruit snacks and the Wicked Bar) which were similarly out of place, and the former didn’t provide much value. The block of cheese is always a high-value component, but we’d love to see them go beyond single serving packs in the other items and provide a wider variety of cheese snacks in future boxes, or dorky cheese-themed items!
