Birchbox is a beauty sample subscription box with 5 new items to test out each month. Birchbox is $10 a month and you can choose a monthly sample during selection time, let Birchbox decide, or pick a pre-curated box. They are currently testing out additional subscription options – check that info out here.

This is the curated  Inside Out Curated Box! Current subscribers could have purchased this exact box for $10. This box is still available!

We’re no strangers to the power of pretty packaging, but we all know it’s what’s on the inside that matters most. That’s why we’ve filled this box with dynamic products featuring ingenious active ingredients—from brightening vitamin C to purifying charcoal—so you can feel your best on the outside.

DEAL: Birchbox is offering a free Eyeko Black Magic Mascara with any women’s Birchbox subscription, while supplies last! Just use code ITSMAGIC at checkout!

You can visit Birchbox.com/MyBox to easily see the details of your box, which I recommend because sometimes they have videos on the item product pages which I find useful.

Everything in the April 2017 Inside Out Curated Box!

Benefit Cosmetics They’re Real! Double the Lip – Lusty Rose ($6.66)  Either this product is a game-changer or downright nutty!

Everyone & their mother is into lip contouring right now and this lets you achieve the look using a single product. You use the small end of the tear drop shape for the outer part of your lips, so you have to flip over the tube when you hit your bottom lip – something I’ve never done!

I did achieve a contoured-ish look with this product, but it might be easier to just use liner and a coordinating shade.  If you want contoured lips on the go, this is definitely one to check out.

Vasanti BrightenUp! New Skin Amplifying Moisturizer ($3.40) I always feel the need to try any new Vasanti product because I’m totally obsessed with their microderm product from the BrightenUp! line. It’s actually designed to go with it! It has a matte nearly sticky feel and it’s a bit scented, which I’m a little confused by because the Birchbox site doesn’t really indicate ingredients that would scent this product.

Bumble And Bumble. Don’t Blow It ($3.10) Knock me over with a feather! Have I really never tried this product? I didn’t even know B+B made fine hair products! This one is designed for air styling, which is perfect for me, since I so rarely blowdry!

Derma e Purifying 2-in-1 Charcoal Mask ($5.69) This mask does double duty as a purifier (charcoal) as well as exfoliator (apricot kernel seeds). It also uses aloe to hydrate and clay to further purify.

TOCCA Emelia Eau de Parfum ($2.16) I have to admit that I’m disappointed in getting a perfume in a vial (the vile vial!) as a product in the box.

Top: Watery Clementine, Loquat Fruit, Bucchu Leaves, Fig Leaf
Middle: Geranium Coeur, Magnolia Tree Leaf, Amaryllis, Kadota Fig
Bottom: Mate Absolute Paraguay, Bison Grass, Florentine Orris, Praline, Ambrette Seed Absolute, Coconut Water

It’s a snappy scent with fig and clementine dancing around the heart of magnolia and geranium. I’m totally into all things geranium this year!

I thought the value in this box was disappointing compared to previous curated Birchboxes – about $21. Even though I didn’t like all of the items, I affirmatively wanted to try the first 3, so I’m glad I picked up the box. I’m pretty impressed with the lipstick and I’m loving my hair and surprised but happy they put a fine hair product in the curated box.

That BB styling creme is AMAZING. I never blow dry either and I just love it, and you will too. It’s soooo handy.
