Barkbox is a monthly subscription box just for dogs. Each box has 4-6 dog products and are customized to the size of your pup, plus it has a cute theme that you and your dog will get a kick out of.

This Barkbox is for small dogs like our miniature schnauzer, Lindy, but you can get them for medium and large dogs too — check out our Barkbox reviews for a peek at the big dog boxes! NEW: the heavy chewer box!

This month’s custom paper is so funny! BarkBox always does a great job of fleshing out the theme of each box and making the inserts and box decor fun. It’s always good for a laugh! This marks where Bijoux likes to poop.

DEAL: Save $10 on your first box with promo code MS10X1213 though it should pop up automatically. FYI – it’s a much better deal to opt for a longer subscription for this box!

The box theme is New York City!

Or is that #POOYORKCITY?! This month the information was actually a sticker sheet!

And here are this month’s cute dog items!

Bark & Co. Best Treats Ever Turkey & Duck Strips ($7)

These Bark & Co branded treats are 100% farmed and made in the USA.

They’re grain free and extremely seductive for a dog that loves to chew big hunks of tasty goodies!

Etta Says Buffalo Chew ($3) There’s always a chew in the box, and because of my dog’s small size, more often than not we get one of these crunchy chews. This one’s buffalo, and allergen-friendly as a result. Always a favorite for Lindy, she chews them right up – good for her teeth, too! 100% American made and sourced!

Bark & Co. Lady Liberty Ball ($8) Statue of Liberty inspired, this ball has fun little nubs on the actual ball, and it’s covered in plush fabric, plus it has a squeaker! Fetch is always a favorite for us, so this is a great toy.

Nootie NYC Roasted Duck Jerky Bites ($8)

These tender bites are grain, soy, and gluten-free.

In addition to the duck there’s a nice amount of fiber, which is also good for your puppy. These drove Lindy wild. In fact, she keeps leading me back to them.

I might point out that there’s nearly 1 & 2 years left on these expiration dates, but I cannot imagine any bag lasting that long.

Bark & Co. The Bark Post ($10) This faux newspaper is pretty funny, plus it’s also crinkly and squeaky. My dog loves squeakers, especially in a mat, so this was perfect!

Lindy can barely hold still enough for a picture! I love freshening up her toys every month and keeping things interesting and engaging for her, and she is such a huge fan of the treats!

What did you think of Barkbox this month?

I found this blog trying to find out why I didn’t get the cool 90’s box my coworker was telling me about. I’m so jealous! Born in 83, the 90’s were my JAM! I got the new york box instead. 🙁

yeah it really was a bummer. i like how they were basically like “we are never doing this again.” if you email them they might send you a 90s toy.

Hmmm I have been subscribed for years and others that have also been subscribed for years also received this box. We have 3 BarkBox subscriptions and the only one with a Throwbark Thursday theme is the new super chewer subscription. Perhaps they are segmenting themes.

Howloo Sebastian and Brandy! So sorry for any confusion or frustrations with this. This month is all about throwing it back to the good ole days. The Poo York City box became one of our fan favorites and we realized that some of our loyal pupstomers never got one, so we wanted to make sure that everyone received one of the best boxes ever! That is why for our throwback theme, there were two different goodies (a 90’s throwback, and a BarkBox throwback!).

What better way to celebrate #ThrowbarkThursday with our most loyal pupstomers than with some nostalgia and our favorite collection of goodies? My pup, Thor, got the Poo York Box and let me tell you, he is going CRAZY over the Lady Liberty Ball! 🙂

So sorry again for any confusion with this – moving forward, the entire pack will have the same goodies. If you have any more questions or concerns, feel free to bark at [email protected] and we can lend a paw!

Hi just wanted to let you know my Sandy didn’t get the jerky which she loves. And she doesn’t like the duck. So in the future can you please give her something else. Thank you.
