Treatsie January 2017 Subscription Box Review + Coupon

Hello Subscription may earn compensation via links in this post. Read the full disclosure

Treatsie is an artisan sweets sampler box that includes amazing gourmet sweets from 3 different small, independent confectioners, which change every month. Items you may receive include candies, chocolates, cookies, and other sugary delights and boxes will have “up to a $25” value. Subscriptions are $19.95 a month or save when you sign up for a longer term.

FYI – After months of delays, Treatsie has finally shipped January boxes. This box was received a few days before the review posting, in late March.

DEAL: Treatsie’s gift deals are back (up to 3 free months!). Or if you want to try out one box there are two ways to save – get $10 off with HS10 or free double the sweets with coupon DOUBLESWEETS

TIP: Without a good deal on this box you are effectively paying $4-5 per treat, so we do recommend subscribing for a longer term for the best (yummy) value!

Everything in my box! I didn’t find any information cards in my box, and I am assuming that this is the January box. I’m still waiting on my February and March boxes, too.

Askinosie Chocolate 72% Mababu, Tanzania Dark Chocolate Bar ($8.50) This bar is made with chocolate grown in Tanzania and produced in Missouri, however, proceeds help the people of this country in East Africa get an education, learn how to grow chocolate, and create sustainable food programs.

Askinosie is on the list of Forbes Best Small Companies in America for 2016!

What an absolutely delicious bar of chocolate! It is deep and dark, yet has notes of strawberry (some people may even detect blueberries and graham.) So smooth, plus I can’t believe that chocolate can taste so fruity! Plus, the company cares about its producers and actively works to help improve their lives.

Shotwell Candy Co. “Old Fashioned” Cocktail Caramels ($5.95) are “buttery soft caramels infused with aromatic bitters, Kentucky bourbon whiskey and orange extract.”

I’ve never tried an “old-fashioned” before but I passed these around at work and we all agreed they were pretty good with only a slight orange flavor (which I barely detected myself.)

Janis & Melanie White Chocolate Key Lime Cookies ($2.90 on J&M website, $9.99 on Amazon) These crispy cookies have a strong lime flavor and a buttery shortbread base plus white chocolate chips sprinkled throughout.

Serving suggestions are a glass of milk, tea, coffee, ice cream, or you can do like I did and just gobble them straight from the box.

Well, it took a long time to get here but my Treatsie box had some delicious sweet treats and I enjoyed sharing them with my friends and family (my youngest LOVES dark chocolate!). Seriously, that dark chocolate was awesome and my favorite item this month!

Did you get Treatsie this month? Did you get the same items? Which item was your favorite?

Treatsie is a total scam. Please make sure you are letting your readers know. They will take your money and never send you a box. Look at the reviews, BBB, and news stories.

By keeping this review up I have to question the validity of your other reviews.
